I used to post on Castboolits a bit. I can’t get logged on anymore for whatever reason. Still look in from time to time.
Used to be an old guy on there (.44Man I think was what he went by). Pretty knowledgeable, pretty opinionated. Contributed to a lot of threads.
They put the perma ban on his ass, just for arguing about guns. Guess he hurt the wrong feelers.
That said, I always figured he’d have fit in better around here where some folks don’t feel the need to tread as light. He was more full of BS than knowledge
I got banned on another web site for a debate that happened on this site. That's a first

I have no animosity toward the man, or Pollocks, and chitt can't help that it gets associated with Chicago. Folks like you wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes on a job here in coal mining country. Almost everyones family was pretty new to this continent. Ethnic references flew around until they became an identity. Was still very common a few decades ago, and isnt uncommon today. I was a teenager before I found out that a certain kind of bread wasn't really called Dago Bread. Darn sure didn't mean aanything bad toward Eyetalians, they make good bread!

Assuming Facebook and gun forums have some type of revenue generating means (ads or something... and don't cost the owner actual money to keep the servers running?)... I think keeping an appropriate and large audience is dang smart.
I have been on Virginia Gun Trader for a solid decade... used to be very active there... many true F2F friends... but Brian (the owner) RUINED the site about 5-6 years ago by policing EVERYTHING... you can post stuff, but commentary like "Nice Gun"... or "Free Bump for a Trusted Member" was banned... because people would very occasionally make mean/rude comments.
This site however... is PERFECT because Bin allows self-policing... i.e. Say something stupid... and 5 gallon bucket of GFYs (from the peanut gallery) comes a flying... THANKS RIC, you are a good and smart man!
I am in "Time Out" on VA GT because I asked some fool if he spit or swallowed in the "Shout Box"... absolutely don't care... the site is more FUBAR than Monument Ave. anymore...

I understand that it's a cutesy way of referring to only cast bullets, but they get downright shiddy if you spell their misspelled word wrong. It wasn't designed to be cutesy.
