We can say that Baldwin broke all the rules of safe gun handling but he's likely never heard of them. He's anti-gun and would have never been trained like everyone here. Gun handling rules are learned, not instinctive. That's why they have an armorer. It's her job to do what the actors can't do because of the lack of training. It's her job to keep everyone safe and she totally failed to do her job. This is on her head. It's on Baldwin too, because as producer he's the one who hired her, as incompetent as she was. This is why he's screwed. Not because actors who are handed weapons in a declared condition by the set staff are responsible for following the 4 rules while shooting people on camera. Why it was pointed at the people he shot, and what he allegedly said per set witnesses immediately before they were shot, well, that's a different discussion......

sounds like this was a low budget schit fest of a movie. baldwin being the producer probably hired her for next to nothing and thought he was getting diversity points as well. he's got some 'splainin' to do. . she will take the majority of the blame but he will get his ass sued off and doubtful will be doing much work any time soon. couldn't happen to a nicer guy

It's a movie set, play acting, there should be no live ammo on the set. do we know there was "live ammo" on the set, assuming you are not referring to blanks? If that info has been posted here, verifiable info, I must have missed it. Without live ammo on the set, the incident could not have happened. Brandon Lee was killed with a "blank." Plastic pieces entered his abdomen and he died as a result. The only sure thing that would have prevented this is basic firearm safety procedure. Nope. You can get the actual story by searching.

She said in an interview a month or so prior that she didn't think she was ready to be an armorer Sounds to me like she got her job because of her father’s name and claim to fame. And that she was obviously neither qualified or competent. The negligence falls first upon her dumbass as it was her responsibility as “set Armorer” to make the guns and set “safe”. And then on Baldwin for hiring her dumbass. And if asswipes Baldwin is proved have received firearms safety instruction and training from his “Rifle Team Coach Dad” he damn sure should have known better. If nothing else, it should cost the POS gun hating Libertard a schitt Load of Money.

That may not have been the case, but it is one of the details an armorer is supposed to attend to.

Someone mishandled it. That's kind of like the popular headline "Gun fires while being cleaned". Total BS. You can't clean a gun with a round chambered. It's always a case of someone pulling the trigger of a loaded gun while preparing to clean it or doing something else that's stupid. You can't even run a ramrod all the way down a barrel with a chambered round and the ramrod won't fire it if you try.
