Just got an emergency alert on our phones. The residents of Faro are being told to shelter in place. Im not in Faro, but everyone in Yukon got the alert. Sounds like an active shooter. Pray the boys in blue shoot straight and take no prisoners. Early reports are 3 people down, but those are early reports. The situation is ongoing right now...

An emergency alert said there is an “increased RCMP presence” in the community.
Police posted on Twitter and Facebook around 2 p.m. on Oct. 26, citing an “emergency situation” and asking all residents to shelter in place.
RCMP have promised more information to come.
The Town of Faro announced via Facebook that an active shooter was in the community.
“PLEASE stay home and lock your doors until further notice,” the post says.

Sounds like it was a domestic issue...one death being reported presently but rumours are saying two..
