Unique is one of the most versatile powders out there for sure. Some lucky person out should scoop up this jug , quick.

Unique has been my go to powder in .44 Special/.44 Magnum for the last 40 years. I also use it in cast bullet loads in .30-06 and .35 Whelen, this since SR 4759 has been discontinued. Unique produces fine groups no matter in handgun or rifle. Almost forgot I use it in 9mm with 115gr. bullets.

I use Unique in 380, 9, 38, 357, 44s, 45 C and ACP, as well as 30-30, 308, and 30-06 for cast bullets. And 45-70,, 12ga and insure there are others. I’m down to four or five pounds. I like Herco for a few of those but not as good. Universal is very similar.

I use it for most of my hard cast loads... scooped up an 8 pounder right at the beginning of all this nonsense a couple years ago, and just cracked into it last fall.

PV had some the other day, and like anytime they get any Alliant powders of late, it was gone really fast. Reminds me I could use a bit more 2400, though.

I’ve used a lot of Unique over the years, especially for reduced loads in 44 magnum, and still have some on the shelf. But, my go to powder for such use is now Universal as it is just as accurate and much cleaner burning.

I use Unique in just about all my handguns for medium to moderately heavy loads. Great in rifles and cast bullets. Trap to medium game loads in 12 ga. Lives up to its name.

I just ordered a pound of Titegroup this morning to try in an extremely finicky 45 Colt rifle. It's one of the only things I've owned I couldn't get to shoot Unique well.

The only powder it has responded very well to so far is Trail Boss, and the trajectory with that load is like a fuggin rainbow for shooting 100yd plates. It shoots 244 Win and Nitro 100NF ok, but there are some pressure signs I'm not liking with 244, and the Nitro100 velocity is about identical to the TB loads.

All the other powders I had on hand shot like garbage in it... definitely the pickiest 45 Colt I've owned.

8# of Unique would be several lifetimes worth of pistol powder for most.

I've killed about a pound of the 8 pounder I bought a couple years ago. I shoot a lot of cast 32s, though. Probably more than all my other centerfires combined.
Just loaded up a couple hundred 32 H&R Mags the other day with it.

I use it in the 223 at times for varmint shooting...

10 grains yields 700 rounds per pound of powder...so 8 pounds would be 5600 rounds...

40 and 50 grain bullets...is my preference...

Holy fugg, dude, are you just loading them and throwing them straight into a bonfire to cook off? That's like 8,000+ rounds... 😯

First powder I ever used starting back in the 60's & I'm still using it in many different calibers. Couldn't get by without Unique & 2400.

I'm retired , it's what I do for fun . I used to shoot 250 rounds every afternoon after work but athur in my hands has slowed me down some. 8lbs is more like 7000 rounds . 7000x8=56,000 grains / 8 = 7000 .
