Curious what the letter stated about the chambering if you did.
SAV 30 ? 30-30 ? 30 WCF ?
Pretty sure I know the answer... but better to see if somebody has done it.

A person doesn't need to be the current owner of a serial number to factory letter it. One of the data guys surely has a few serial numbers of these rifles. Glean a few s.n.'s and then talk to your friends at Cody.....

It would still cost me a serial number search. If somebody's lettered one, no need to do it.

Oh, I’m not sure I remember that one. Right around the 19,xxx serial number range?

If nobody has done it, I'll put it on my to-do list to send in for information next year.
I got a glance at a ledger page in that range, and it had several entries with 30-30 on the page. So I'm presuming the rifles would letter as 30-30.
