I did not know that Barnes introduced a 101 lrx. The 100 ttsx has a BC of approximately .335. The 101lrx has a projected BC of .401. has anyone tried any of these relatively new bullets? I did a search on the web and somebody used 72.5 grains of rl 26 and got about 3,600 ft per second and a 257 Bee.... not a bad deal. I just ordered three boxes.

Where did you get them?

I have been using a lot of barns lrx. I can't determine any big difference between the ttsx and the lrx as far as pressure is concerned.

Yep! In stock on our website.

I shot them in my custom Pre '64 and they shot fine. Haven't harvested anything with them yet.

All,

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I just received four boxes from Wholesale Hunter. They look good and shipped really quickly. In this environment you take what you need.

Thx,

Just found these today myself, going to order some and play around. The TTSX shoots in the .2's in my M70 and a bit over 1/2" in the Ruger 257 AI. With another 25-06, 257 Rob and maybe a 250 in the near future plans, I will be looking forward to these!

1. G1 .357 BC for 100 TTSX.
2. G1 .400 BC for 101 LRX
3. Both are designed to work in an industry standard 1:10" twist.

I'm still working with them out of both my Bob's. One a very custom Pre64 action which will allow me to seat out further. COAL of 2.960" when ogive is touching throat. As suggested by Barnes I start at .050" off the lands for a COAL of 2.910'. Other rifle is a Montana 84M. I can seat at 2.957" with the ogive touching the lands; 2.907" puts me .050" of the lands. BUT the mag length forces me to seat to 2.835" to reliably feed from the mag which means I'm .122" off the lands. I'm not worried about that since Barnes 100% copper bullets can shoot great when say off the lands. Jury is still out. Hoping to pick up where I left off. My new 21st Century expander mandrels are enroute and now that hunting season is over for me, i'll start up a project with IMR 4451, the same powder Mule Deer says he gets little groups with in his latest article about cartridge neck lengths.
