Regular gasoline already went up 35 cents last week here.

That's after going up about $1.00 in the last 10 months.

Let's go, Brandon!

Don't blame me. I voted for Trump.

Democrats would burn this country to the ground, if they could rule over the ashes.

We bought about 25 lbs of dry beans of all different varieties and poured them up in half gallon mason jars. This week.

That and bacon gas been on sale for $4 a lb here.

I don’t where some of you are claiming “by golly bacon is $11 a lb”

Either way we got about 20 lbs of this week.

And we hit em everyday on $6.99 Tbones limit of 4.
Week long sale, all vac sealed.

Add them to about 40 ribeyes vac sealed

There’s at least most of one deer still in the garage freezer. That my change soon.

Just in the last few weeks I've noticed that our grocery costs have pretty much doubled.

You would think that, and some of us will be among the last people still bringing home game, but sooner or later, it will be depleted. Sooner or later depends on how many people are after it. Look back at the Depression to see what I am talking about.

If you aren’t producing your own food. someone else will decide what and how much you eat. People always starve under communism. Even those who started out raising their own. If you can’t be a mixture of farmer, poacher, forager, scavenger and maybe even thief, you run a good risk of being hungry at some point. Food gets tight in this country, and venison backstrap may be a fond memory in short order.

At least we don’t get to see mean Trump anymore.

It is certainly worth paying double in gas and doubling the grocery bill to not see that anymore.

A friend just recently told me that Round Up has increased in price by 300%. Said that nearly every farmer around here grows Round Up ready beans & corn & just won't be able to afford it. He looked for production to be way down next year.

Game herds will melt away if there is a genuine food shortage. Unless you mean rodents and such.

Game populations in the US are a result of an artificial situation in which only a select few hunt and the masses eat food they think comes from a store.

Exactly.

The first herds to go are all those prime deer populations in farm country.

I wondering if farmers will gamble on higher crop prices, which are doing very well right now, or reduce acres in production.
