With a good gun, rimfire ammunition quality becomes the limiting factor, rather than scope power. So, a six power scope can be enough for precision long range rimfire.

Here are results with an old, steel Weaver T-6 mounted on a 14” Contender 22LR Match, with bipod and rear bag, and using LAPUA Polar Biathlon ammunition on a 6” steel disc at 200 yards. Some misses went high right, so elevation was reduced to 26 MOA above 50 yard zero and windage moved back to center for the last five, smiling shots:

SWFA in 10X with side parallax and mil-mil reticle.
Only way to dope the wind
is to practice.
Rimfire is cheap to shoot
and to learn wind calls you
need to shoot a lot.
Good luck

Very nice rifle you have there. Looking forward to your thoughts as you get to shoot it in the days ahead.

Go big or stay home. laugh

5-25 or 6-24 with parallax adjustment down to 50ft. DAMHIKT

That rifle needs at least a 4.5x27
It is already a heavy beast so scope weight shouldn’t be an issue.
I have 4.5x27x50 Meopta Optika 6 scopes on my Tikka T1X
