There was a lot of bad stuff written about Optics Planet a few months ago, and they were regularly disappointing. I have to say, I’ve had a couple orders the last month or two and the good seems to be back. No complaints.

I won't deal with them. There are just too many good businesses out there that don't routinely disappoint the way OP does.

All the complaints I saw were that they weren't always clear when an item was on backorder. So people ordered, got pissed when they learned of the backorder status, and in a fit cancelled their orders. OpticsPlanet was one of the few games in town even permitting backorders on reloading components so why they fugg would you take yourself out of line just to make a point???

I had a chit ton of orders placed on backorder... and they've all been rolling in over the last couple months at pre-covtard hysteria prices.

Of what I purchase from them, it has always been a good experience.

I wasn't ordering anything from them during the bad period people were complaining about.

but I mainly order stuff like Scope rings, and Optics occasionally.

I won't say I'd never use them again, but I'll try elsewhere first.

I have but ordered from them often, but never had a problem when I did.

I didn't realize there was a concern with their customer service.

I've ordered a few times from them with no problem.

But most of my OP stuff I get, I buy through Dvor.com, their sale outlet store. I've nearly set my credit card on fire there a few times.

I’ve avoided them because of the comments on this board a few months ago.

You can go to the BBB site and read tons of complaints that follow the pattern of selling product they don’t have in stock, cancelling back orders and relisting items at higher price, and other sheist.

Never had any bad dealings with them.

My gripe was inventory status.

Even pre-China flu days.

Order something “in stock” . Pay. Then couple days later you get an email saying it’s out of stock.

This was ~2016’ish.
get with it. Live inventory like most other online retailers.
