This was at 50 yards last night with tang sight.

Good shooting 👍

I had an 1892 in 38-40 for a while, but the bore and throat were pretty rough, so it was never much better than a minute of paper plate shooter. Kind of threw my hopes for ever hunting with it out the window. I couldn't have dreamed of ever making a shot like that with mine

How long is the barrel on the 44-40? Looks like you could have stuck it out and tripped the deer.
