I was able to finally locate the 55 grain TTSX on line. I suppose they must have produced a run of them.
I do appreciate the thought and information though, thank you.

I sent an email to Barnes asking what some of their bullets minimum impact velocities were on some of the bullets I use and this is the information I got back. Figured I'd share if others were curious like myself.
.277 129 gr. LRX- 1400 fps
.284 120 gr TTSX- 1700 fps .284 139 gr. LRX- 1400 fps .284 145 gr. LRX- 1500 fps
.308 150 gr. TTSX- 2000 fps .308 168 gr. TTSX- 1500 fps .308 175 gr. LRX- 1500 fps .308 180 gr TTSX- 1500 fps
I got this from Barnes this morning.
7mm
120 TTSX = 1700
139 LRX = 1800
140 TTSX = 1800
145 LRX = 2000
150 TTSX = 1500
.308
130 TTSX = 1800
150 TTSX = 2000
165 TTSX = 1800
168 TTSX = 1500
175 LRX = 1600
Those 7 mm numbers … 🤔 Yeah, 1800-2000 fps for the LRX doesn’t seem right.

Cut and paste directly from the email. So if the numbers aren't right, it's from barnes.

Thanks Futura, I’ve got a bunch of 250 grain TTSX’s, but don’t like light bullets! Anxiously awaiting the arrival of some 270 grain LRX’s for load development and future use! I really wish Barnes would bring out some 290 to 300 grain LRX’s.....those just may be perfect for my desires! 😉 memtb

A little off subject, but I am really impressed with the Lrx for up close work. Devastating without leaving shards or lead in your meat.
From my autopsies, they open quickly on impact.

Those numbers seem low.
I wonder how they define expansion at those velocities.

Keep in mind those are minimum velocities. Guessing there is minimum expansion. Barnes also recommends that velocity a few hundred fps over those listed is more better.

That charts about useless. I would shoot for well above 2k if you want decent expansion.

P Aren’t we concerned about extensive experience WITH Barnes bullets?

That info makes my .308 Win a 500-600 yard elk rifle with the 130 grain TTSX bullets. I bet it would work out the same with the 168 TTSX, but I haven't tried them yet. The 130 TTSX worked just fine on my bull this year @260 yds.

From my autopsies, they open quickly on impact. Agreed. I've been rather impressed with the 127 6.5 LRX with nothing more than lung shots on deer and antelope. This one came out of the dirt after going through a deer's chest yesterday. MV of only 2675 from an 18" suppressed Creedmoor. How does Barnes get the little X in the middle of the bullet?

That 127 LRX is the next one I’d like to try in my PRC.
