Added some meat to the freezer today with the Contender Carbine. SSK barrel 1:7 twist 22" Nosler factory ammo 64 gr bonded. Hit the shoulder and exited the opposite shoulder. Doe ran about 30 yards and left a good trail.

I bought 200 rounds of that. Most won’t chamber in my Hawkeye, but they work perfectly in my Mini 14. Need to seat a few deeper for the Hawkeye. Paid about $20 a box from SPS. Also bought a box of the bullets.

Good to see some real results.

I bought the ammo from SPS also and I am pleased with the results on this sample of one.
