I recently acquired this Bergara 22 RF.

And have the lower Sako incoming from a fellow member. I really don't see another CF rifle in my future as I am pretty flush there. Always looking for a deal on a proper S&W revolvers though.

Rem 31's are amazing and IMO a better shotgun than the M12.

Just bought a Bergara HMR in .308 to scratch the itch. Might pick up a can for Christmas.

Handguns come and go. No real desire there unless I stumble into deal.

MM,

Get that 28g !

Wifey caught a Benelli Ethos in 28g for Christmas last year. Yeah, I’ve played hide the shotgun from her ever since.

Love that shotgun.

I am looking hard at a Rem 7400 30-06 here local. I have a 7600 in 30-06 that I love and I think it needs a new family member.

Crazy because in the past he would have had it done in a month or two.
Guess I bragged him up a little too much here, now he is too busy... damn, kinda takes the fun out of it. Probably be my last build for a while.

Bro, I had the same happen to me on a build. I made the mistake of paying in full upfront. Builder spent my money, kept pushing older builds in front of mine to keep cash flow going.

We finally had a meet Jesus phone call. Got my rifle 3 weeks later. Excellent builder, but I wouldn’t go through it again.

Looking forward to seeing your build when finished.

What’s the ins and outs story on this rimfire? Excellent accuracy? Machined well? Slick action, etc...

Did a CZ 527 re-barrel to 6mm ARC for this last season. Only thing I may wish for in addition would be to put another barrel set up for a muffler in the same 6mm ARC. Not that the arc is loud, though it does annoy me when someone sits down next to me at the range with a 270 Winchester with a can and my little 6mm ARC is the loud obnoxious report.

I like the idea of a 4" 686 for sure. No real need for it but what the hey.

I occasionally hear this voice in my head that whispers "10mm, 1911, 10mm, 1911, 10mm..." and when I look at gunbroker to see what's available---and the prices, I hear another another voice that says "nyet, nyet, nyet!"

Don't know anything about the 31s but I have had 3 model 12s so I don't disagree with you.

My wish is simple. Just for Ruger to come out with the Model 39. I'd be happy with just that.

Another possibility is an Arisaka Type 38 I found out about this afternoon. If I am reading the marks correctly, it was made in 1909. I'll be looking at that one tomorrow.

Otherwise, I have a 98 Mauser I want rebarreled to 6mm Rem. I currently have a 6mm already but it has a 1:12" twist and it does not like to shoot any 100 gr bullets other than Rem Core-Lokts. It will shoot Sierra Pro-Hunters decent enough but I have only one partial box of those. I figure a 1:8" twist will work well with the remaining 100 gr bullets I have on hand as well as with any heavier or unleaded bullets I might want to use.

Let me know if you get the .30rem. I have a set of dies in the shop somewhere. A friend had a 41 and I made a batch before he moved to AZ

Thanks for the offer but I have a couple sets of dies for the 30 Rem. I have been an "acquirer" of Remington Model 8/81 rifles for a few decades so have had to reload for them to keep shooting.

As an aside, in a pinch 30/30 dies work for the 30 Rem (and vice versa) though one needs to use the proper shell holder. Same can be said for 25/35 and 25 Rem as well as 32 Special and 32 Rem.
