Bushnell LRHS-2 4.5-18 x 44 G2H to replace a swfa 3-9x42 HD.

Did I make a wise decision?

I'm keeping the super chicken, but due to a mishap on an elk hunt that wouldn't have happened with a scope with either zero stop or locking turret, I'm trying the bushnell. Yes the one time I didn't write my elevation revolution on my dope card, my turret got spun.

Hope it tracks and holds zero.

For a hunting scope, I really would want locking turrets.

Both great scopes bud, but your only $30 away from a shim kit zero-stop for the SS. About $5 of you buy some garden hose washers and some sandpaper and do it yourself.

Jackson, zero stops are best of course, but also, in a pinch you can pull the bolt (assuming a bolt…) and bore sight the scope. If you stop at each “zero”, it’ll be apparent which one is the correct revolution.

Got it mounted up. Thing is beefy. Going to get it sighted in this weekend.

I like the reticle, locking windage turret, and zero stop. Not real sure about the throw level..

I would have recommended that you spend your money on a 5 horsepower vibrator, but if you need affirmation, sure, great scope.

I think you did. I love my SWFA 3-9X42s. However, I like everything about the LRHS and LRTS more. At least that is my "personal opinion" about the copies of all three I have owned.

Well got it zero'd. Seem to track accurately enough. The zero stop is pretty slick, no more worrying about it
