Bob Dole served his country in the military for sure, but he did not serve the United States well in Congress. He was a liberal POS and a Rino in the image of John McCain. Bug food now!
If we live long enough, we all have regrets. But the ones that nag at us the most are the ones in which we know we had a choice.

I have great respect for the vast majority of our service
members. Former and current.
However. It is NOT undying.
It is a snapshot in time. One that is never discarded, but can be
overcome by other actions. Dole, like Bush, doesn't deserve to be
lionized only on WWII.
There were many men whose service wasn't
so high profile. Soldiers doing their job. Maybe with a gun, maybe
a spoon, wrench or steering wheel. Many of those guys got out,
moved on and quietly worked at things that improved America for
all Americans.
Dole and Bush were not on the level of those men.
They were self serving breaucrats.
Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!

I can never forget nor forgive watching him vote with the democrats on gun control just to break a tie. He, like McCain and Romney were shoved at us because “ it was their turn” to loose.

I voted for the man. Like many he was not perfect. Looking at today’s politicians we could use a few like Dole.
He was probably considered middle of the road in Kansas. Far right in the N/E. A RINO in the south.

Salute his service and all who gave personal sacrifice in the name of our country. I believe he tried to be an honorable man applying his view of what he thought the country should be.
I did not agree with some of his positions but respected his right to his.

Being in the military is admirable but sometimes the pukes know that. And even though I doubt that was Bob Dole's plan, he wiped out any respect I had for that by being a rino liberal big government piece of schit.
