That a hoss for sure….where you hit him/exit? I got couple old Redfields in 3x9…one is over 40 years old clear as a bell. Killed one few years back with it on my 308 at over 300 yds.

He came off of a Cottonwood top and was skirting a hillside, when he stopped he was facing me head on.
Shot was at the base of the neck. He dropped at the shot. I did not recover my bullet (150 grain Nosler Ballistic tip hand load).
Distance was measured with my range finder a couple days later from what was left of the gut pile (coyotes) to a round bale across a draw that I was sitting beside to break up my silhouette. As you know, deer can only see in black and white…………………and orange!!!
