What's on the menu? We're starting with herring in cream sauce, deviled eggs, shrimp cocktail and assorted cheeses, crackers and nuts. Dinner is a fresh roasted turkey and venison loins, mashed potatoes, corn, biscuits and gravy. Apple pie and vanilla ice cream for dessert.

P Hard to beat Beef and Potato’s and some good rolls. Got a Steak I’m gonna grill tomorrow with some big spuds to bake. Andome of those store bought Hawaiian King’s Rolls. Throw in lots of butter and sour cream and I’m good to go!

Just finished cooking ribs for tomorrow, steak for tonight in the pit. There is nothing like steak, ribs or chicken cooked with mesquite. We will have squash casserole, deviled eggs, sweet potatoes, cream corn, pecan pie.

Her 5am precooked then cold at 10am eggs, nasty red eye gravy with 1/4” leathery skin atop, fried potatoes cooked in 3 year old crisco poured back into a metal coffee can and stored under the sink.
