Caught 18, kept 6. The groupa slaya is in the shop getting new hubs so a bridge in the right place is the next best thing. Saw lots of slot redfish, tons of bait and one porpoise. Lost a really nice one (3 pounds or so) at the abutment. They were out away from the bridge (20-30') and up off bottom (2'+/-). If you let it sit on bottom, you hung or crab eat yer bait. When the current stopped - so did they. Peak current I was getting 6 bites per cast.

What were they catching the Reds with ?

Live shrimp 35. The bait shop was out of fiddler crabs.

Still haven't found the sheepshead but I wore them out again today. 15 mangrove snappers, 12 white trout, one speckled trout and two red fish. No room in my tiny freezer so only kept two. 1.5 lb mangrove and 3 lb red.

I really appreciate the pics and stories from salt water fishing. It's something I have never experienced. I've watched everything on YouTube so I knew what a mangrove was before I clicked. Thanks for sharing
