HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I think I got the 99K 250-3000 early this year. and the 99B 22 H-P at the Denver show in September.
Got an antelope with the switch barrel 99G with the 250-3000 barrel and an elk and a buffalo with the 99EG in 308.
Got covid despite being vaccinated. It didn't make me very sick, mostly just tired. The flu I had 5 years ago made me a lot sicker. I've gotten over being tired and ready to rock and roll in 2022!

Happy New Year!
Glad to see you All.

Added and upgraded in the areas of Savage rifles, pistols and memorabilia in 2021.
Many from the John Wright collection. Gone but not forgotten...

The thirst for Savage knowledge continues. The hunt is half the fun!
Health and happiness to All in 2022.

Happy New Year!

Been selling some Savages, replacing with my new passion for single shots, but some of them are Stevens so there's still a family resemblance.

I have always been a shooter/hunter not a collector. Now that I'm less and less a hunter the target shooting is even more important, hence the gravitation towards pure target rifles. 2022 also might be the Year of The .22.

Stay safe and prosper, my friends.

Still hanging around. Am being told at age 79 with issues I may be nearing my “use by” date so am going to unload a couple of rifles, some antique ammo/boxes (Savage calibers) and a few collected sights. Have a NIB Lyman Alaskan and new Stith mounts for it, but am ambivalent about selling those. Right now the wife and I are both fighting Covid after having both Pfizer shots last spring, so will wait to list on GB/EBay.

Had good year for buying. Got a couple of posers. One is an 1899 with a 26 1nch barrel 22 HP take-down. May or may not be original. Forend wood not a Savage but otherwise all numbers match. Other is a 1907 pistol with serial number which says it was made 1919 but the slide seems to be an early 07. Th bolt block is numbered to the frame. Searching for answers is such fun.

Hope for a Savage Fest in 22.. D

It is 07:27 and the sun is just rising on a new day and year out here. May 2022 be a better and more peaceful trip around the sun for everyone this year. Happy New Year!

Yup, still here several times a day. Haven't bought or sold a gun in years living in the Republic.

Built 78 Lightfoot mounts in 2021. Grand total is now 390. Headed to the welding shop Monday morning to get 2022 kicked off. Have 4 in the queue already.

Happy New Year to all the fellow loonies!

Happy New Year to all.
Have all the Savage levers I need but that probably won't stop the hunt for upgrades or that elusive K...
Only couple of 22's in 2021. Probably more of them too?? Did get the 22 Hornet that was on wish list.
I check in at least once per day to see what's up with you all and learn something Savage.

Happy New Year to all from Texas. Still check in most every day. Need to make more room in the safes so some Savages must go. Tom

Still here off and on. Last 99 I got was in 2019, a .303 H Carbine for hunting purposes. This is the first dealing I've had with the .303 and am now a believer in that round. My load development consisted of selecting the RCBS 30-180FN, which is just over 190 grains as cast, and enough IMR-4320 for just over 1900 fps and done.
Lost my 94 year old Mother last month so the whole month is a blur and seems surreal but, she had a wonderfully full life and even played Bingo the afternoon she had the massive stroke...a joy to be around. We shall meet again!

Happy New Year!

Last year I sold three 99s at a local gun show and picked up three EGs - a checkered .250-3000 with a 22" barrel, a checkered Spiegel, and the .303 with a 22" barrel that we have been discussing re: whether the checkering is optional factory or not.

I shot a decent 8 pointer with a modified EG in .300 in November.

Still would like to find a late pre-war checkered F.
