Thanks, fellas.
Too late about the snowplow warning. We had a freak Nor'easter snowstorm today that dumped a foot of wet snow on us. In the course of plowing the (long) driveway, a tree branch whipsawed into my face and lashed my eye. Painful and blurry, can't get to eye doctor or emergency care because of a number of big trees down on the road outside of driveway. Gotta wait until tomorrow. Happy birthday, indeed. Thank goodness there's a bottle of Irish whiskey waiting to comfort me!

To make matters worse now the power went out and the fancy schmancy backup generator didn't kick in and won't start manually. What a great birthday!!!🤬🤬🤬

Deerstalker we used to live in Yahk B.C. about 1956 .My mom and dad used to go down to Bonners Ferry on Friday night with the the rest of the telephone gang .They slid off the road and it broke my mother's wrist. There was a bear that came into the beer parlor through the window while it was going on too but I would have to look at the telephone news to see if it was Yhak or Terrace.

Went to bed all bundled up as the cold seeped into the house. Nursed the bottle by flashlight in the dark. Dozed off eventually, and was awakened at 2AM by all the lights coming back on. World is sorta normal this morning. Truly a birthday to remember!!
