44mag ammo and bullets seem to be unavailable anywhere. I have some, but was looking for more. Glad I stocked up/

I sold my nephew (who lives in a different state) one of my .44 Magnums early last year, and he claims that he still hasn't been able to find any .44 Magnum ammo for it.

I bought a Ruger 44 carbine about 2 years ago and had a hard time finding ammo then, I am sure it has not gotten better.

I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects

I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

I see some here and there, pricing shows why they still have it.

I sold my Desert Eagle 44 mag, but kept the ammo I had left over. Someday hope to get a revolver, but with these prices today who knows.

Glad I reload. I just shot 130 45colt yesterday. I couldn’t imagine replacing them with factory ammo. I’d have to take out a loan.
They’re out there but $1 per round

Federal is showing .44 Magnum 240 JHP @ $71 a box of 50 and that was direct.. There’s just no friggin reason ammo is that high other than gouging from the factory.

Any guns we trade or sell, we keep the ammo.

Oh yeah. I reload my ammo too. Some of the calibers I load are pretty pricey too.

Why do I have to press 1, for English?

I hear ya'll on the ammo prices. It has been quite a while since I have bought any other than .22LR and some few shotgun shells. I have a new .45 ACP pistol on order and a set of dies and quantity of bullets as I have not previously loaded for this caliber. So I would have something ready to shoot in it when the gun arrives, I bought 100 rds of .45 ACP FMJ and 20 rds of JHP at Academy and was astounded at what it cost. Prices are just insane, when you can find it.

Bullet casting is another good path to self reliance. Not my favorite thing to do, but it helps keep a pistol running in lean times.

i both cast and reload. lot of my brass was acquired off the desert floor from other shooters. not trying to price it out, but i am sure 44magnum is less than 5bucks a box to reload, probably more like 3bucks a box.
i was kind of astounded at the price of 30.30 ammo recently. picked up a lot of brass off the desert, cast the bullet, the only r eal cost is the primer and powder, both of which aedequate supplies were obtained years ago.
