Update... earlier in a different thread I posted results of staball and 139 hndy sst. Hodgdon site calls for 51gr max compressed. In that other thread I posted I did get 3035fps with the max load and just over 3000 with 50gr, but both gave pressure signs, ejector marks and flat primers, bolt lift was fine.
For a 140gr bullet hodgdon call 48.5 max.
So I loaded 10 at 48gr... spread was from 2858 to 2904, mostly around 2880 though.
Tikka, it's a shooter with 120BTs. accuracy was ok but strung out horizontal, accuracy was more consistant on the previous faster/hot loads.
For those wondering about the speeds with staball.

Not following your thread title: You're using a 6.5 diameter bullet in a 7-08???

The powder is named Staball 6.5. The 139 SST is a 7mm bullet.
Don't speculate when you don't know, and don't second guess when you do.

Staball 6.5 is a Winchester powder, there has been differing results in the speeds it gives. I'm posting real world results for those interested.
