My full blood Belgian Malinois bitch pup got older on me really fast. I had a vet visit scheduled to get her fixed and caught up on all her shots. But, before I was able to get her in my two young boys got to her. Hell, before it's all done and said it's going to cost me about $600 a piece for the pups, I wasn't planning on having and wasn't set-up for... Looks like Malinois/German Sheperd/Pit mix. I've already given them or have people waiting for them at no cost to them. But don't want o to give them away until they have all their shots and are microchipped, figure on 3 months...

Going with a veterinarians advice can make it very expensive.

Find a different vet. Do just the shots, deworm. Rabies ect. Thats about it.

My daughter's Bernese Mountain dog managed to grab a bag of raisons off the counter and ate most of them before she got home. The dog ended up at an emergency vet hospital. After a ton of meds, stomach pumping and follow up organ testing the dog came out of "intensive care" with a $7,000 bill. Sadly enough, the dog died a month later from natural causes. Pets can be very expensive.
