I've killed them fine, and only, with HC loads, but I was in bear territory as well. Personally, I think the 155gr UW XTP load would be ideal for deer. JMHO.

Looks like you could replace a rifle with one of those long 10mm automatics. They exude power. Anybody do that?

I just need the cheap reloader in me to get used to the brass flying out! You're preachin' to the choir Dean. Mackay Sagebrush sells 10mm ammo in the Classifieds from time to time. Just got 100 rounds delivered from him yesterday and used it to kill a deer yesterday afternoon, worked great.

Those Glock 40 pistols are great. Mine has a Trijicon dot sight, and for night hunts, I put on the Streamlight. I have been using Hornady 180 grain XTP HP and Federal 180 Trophy Bonded JSP. I added Trijcon suppressor height tritium sights and they co witness with the RMR sight.. I carry it in a custom cross draw holster.

Very nice Mannlicher! Any "internal" alterations to your G40? I'm thinking about adding suppressor height sights as well, currently have the Glock adjustable sights on it.
