If you go with ambi get a 45 degree one and not a 90 degree.

You can’t “flip” the safety lever over on a stock safety based on the detent that retains it.

However - Stag Arms makes parts for lefties:

I wouldn't bother. You'll get used to it. The gun arguably works better for lefties than righties.

using trigger finger then? The safety seems perfect to us as RH. Thumb works it perfectly.

Ambi is the way I'd go if I felt the need as a lefty

It's an easy swap, and that gives the newbie a chance to look at the internals and get an idea of how it operates. If it needs a trigger, I'd be looking at doing that at the same time I did the ambi safety. Win win. Also, someone suggested the 45 degree safety. I actually prefer the 90 myself. So that is a personal preference thing. YMMV.

I'm left-handed and will agree that the stock safety is usable, but went with ambis on mine after a while. I'm much happier with them.

Used these or ones just like it, scalloped lever on the left side:

I have just switched over to the 45 deg. safeties on a couple of guns and love them. When I replaced the standard safety with the 45 deg. ones I went to ambi models.

I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects

I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....
