Grandpa needs a new magazine for his 581. Anyone know where one can be had?

That's what I'm guessing is my best bet. 581 and 541 use the same mag, any others?

223 Rem, my favorite cartridge - you can't argue with truckloads of dead PD's and gophers.

Good chance to upgrade. John Reed made some stainless ones. There are a few others out there too.

I have Trekker mags and John Reed metal mags and like them both. If pushed I would lean more towards John's mag. just because its steel and seems a bit smoother in operation than the Trekker.

Yeah, I got my sons each a John Reed Magazine. Ended up with the Trekker for me, because I'm cheap...also got a modified 514 mag that is ok, but not flawless, in operation.

It was hard to beat the Trekker's for $28.

Gun parts, numrich has 10 round in stock. Can't stand the extra length, personally.
