Apple Pie with a nice slice of Vermont Cheddar on top. Man, I never understood that whole cheddar cheese on pie thang. Have you tried it? Its really a wild mix of flavors that I like but rarely remember to try. Cheddar slice sitting on the counter all warmed up and then over the pie and in the microwave for just a bit.. amazing really Apple pie without cheddar is like a cake without frosting

Always been a fan of a good apple pie. As well as pecan pie. Recently I remembered a piece of pie I had a few times at Rocks Springs Cafe in AZ, and thought I'd take a crack at it. Jack Daniels pecan pie. Good stuff. Decided to play around with it, and came up with my own after experimenting with a few different recipes. Combining, changing, revising. I finally settled on this. Smoked "Skrewball" (peanut butter whiskey) pecan pie. Done up in the Traeger. It has become my favorite. Sometimes I'll throw some bacon in there just because. Love cooking, but not a fan of baking. Though the results were awesome and I break out the recipe on special occasions. Smoked peanut butter whiskey, bacon, and pecan pie. A huge fan of eating it, but not so much making it.

Cow. Work it into soil, does wonders.
The end of democracy, and the defeat of the American Revolution will occur when government falls into the hands of lending institutions and moneyed incorporations.

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.

KYHillChick makes really good pumpkin and pecan pies. She always makes both for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Honestly, I'd have a hard time telling you which I like better. She always serves me a small piece of each under whipped cream.
Historically, I'd say pumpkin had the edge. There would be a time in the fall when Frisch's Big Boy would advertise its pumpkin pie, and I would start ordering them with my dinners. The only other place of note that made better was a little deli called The Mushroom up in Mount Adams. I am quite fond of the memory of the brisk fall nights walking with a date over to The Mushroom to grab pie before going back to campus.

Wife's black-capped raspberry cobbler with whipped cream is pretty good...blackberry also.

I've eaten a lot of humble pie, but I'm not that fond of it.
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

I know it's not pie, but my wife makes awesome cobblers.
She makes a really good old-fashioned Chocolate pie with meringue.
I love egg custard pies.

I have both a blackberry and raspberry patch as well as rhubarb, peaches, apples, cherries and pears so I get a few pies and cobblers throughout the summer and beyond. My favorite has to be cherry pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
