That's meant to be heard by both sides of the shouting match.

Not so...I have been noting lately that we have less in common than I thought.

In point of fact I am not even sure why I bother...time to rethink my leisure time.

These are my opinions, feel free to disagree.

In all fairness I think rickhead is having trouble adjusting to her estrogen replacement therapy and sometimes over does it.

I tried to get one of them to work out a solution, all you get is hate speech. They don't want useful dialogue and the real point is we are on the same side of said "shouting match".

Your saying "I think" is utterly hilarious. You refuse to think, in fact it is probably illegal for you. I plagiarized this from Stick but it fits perfectly.

The real problem with many Aussies is they would have voted for Biden anyway, making them worthless like yourself. In fact you leftists airheads have been voting for Biden like blithering idiots for years.

I want to know what it is like in Oz/NZ. My wife and I planned our 25th anniversary around going down under. I've been (in the '90's) - she has never been. COVID put the whammy on our plans. We are now past 26 years and no big trip yet. Neither of us are vaxed and neither of us will get vaxed. Can I come to Oz unvaxed? I haven't been forced to to wear a mask in over a year. I have voluntarily worn one when I contracted COVID. Having COVID was 3 miserable days of my life - a small price to pay for being mask free. Am I looking at my 50th anniversary before I can come to Oz/NZ?

I can't speak for the rest of the US as I only live in Wyoming (same as szihn although I don't know him and never meet him - WY, like OZ is a big place). I can tell you that in eastern Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and western North Dakota ( they area I travel in) there are no mask mandates. Do I see people wearing masks - yes, about 25% do. Mostly older or otherwise at risk people (overweight, smoker on oxygen ...) Do I know what the US's policy is on foreign visitors - NO, I don't. I do know that a fellow truck driver can no longer go into Canada because he refuses to get vaxed. Will it effect his pay - sure. Is it worth it - yup! If you were wanting to visit the US and they were not going to let you in, if you were determined enough, you could fly into Mexico City and walk north. Our border is wide open for all forms of border jumpers. It's ashamed I can't visit Oz in the same manner.

I'm interested in visiting the eastern part of Oz. Looking to see the Great Barrier Reef and maybe Sydney.

Australia has 7 states and territories, much like the US/Canada's setup except our normally have less autonomy from Federal government. Every state at the moment is running a different set of laws and restrictions regarding covid. The common things are state borders are often closed now, many work sectors have mandates against working if you arent vaccinated, and states also have varying degrees of segregation between vaccinated and non vaccinated. For example in my state the unvaccinated can no longer go to a range of public venues, bars, restaurants, stadiums etc nor government buildings like museums and libraries, nor can we visit sick people in hospital. Mask mandates vary by state and council region( like your counties). ..Not sure who can fly in right now. Doubt you can get in unvaxxed, unless you are a celebrity with a great excuse. Prices can spike too. Had an American work mate here decide to go back home last year, it was 10k per seat for him and his wife. Without trimmings and positive slants by aussies with heads in the sand, it is essentially a police state, well 7 to be precise.

Theres more than 1 type of mandate wink

I[b]n order to protect their employees and patrons, some businesses and entities may mandate that their on-site employees be vaccinated. Some employers were initially hesitant to impose vaccine requirements, citing concerns over their validity due to the present EUAs among other factors. A June 2021 survey of companies found that only 3% planned to implement a vaccine mandate.[22][23] Some businesses may also voluntarily require that their customers or patrons present proof of vaccination or a recent negative test in order to receive service or access.[6]

However, by late-July 2021 due to the threat of Delta variant, a number of major private employers across many industries announced vaccination requirements for employees.[24] Similar mandates were announced for California state employees,[5][12] and federal employees and contractors.[4]

Many U.S. colleges and universities, both public and privately owned, have started requiring students to be vaccinated before attending in-person classes in fall 2021. This has led to a black market in counterfeit CDC vaccination cards for students who want to violate this requirement instead of attending a different school.[25]

The National Football League made rule changes intended to place liabilities on players who are not vaccinated, including monetary fines for each individual violation of COVID-19 protocol, and making teams liable for games canceled due to COVID-19 outbreaks involving unvaccinated players if they cannot be made up during the regular season (which will count as a loss by forfeit, and require the team to pay financial compensation to the opposing team).[26][27]

In mid-August 2021, Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) and Live Nation Entertainment both announced that they will mandate vaccination at their venues (where legally possible) in October 2021, with AEG requiring all attendees, staff and performers to be vaccinated with no exceptions effective October 1, and Live Nation requiring attendees to be vaccinated or have recently tested negative for COVID-19 effective October 4.[8]

Mandates for entry to private facilities

A COVID-19 vaccination record card issued by the CDC.
Vaccination incentives were used in California and New York as part of their easing of restrictions in mid-2021; New York allowed seating sections of outdoor venues to operate at full capacity if they were exclusive to vaccinated attendees,[101] and California allowed venues to operate at a higher capacity than normally allowed under its Blueprint for a Safer Economy framework if all patrons present proof of vaccination or a recent negative test.[102]

With the increased spread of Delta variant in the United States and to overcome vaccine hesitancy, several major U.S. cities announced in August 2021 that individuals 12 and older would be required to present proof of vaccination in order to enter certain non-essential indoor businesses, such as gyms, dine-in restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues;[10][9][11]

On August 3, 2021, Mayor of New York City Bill de Blasio announced that a vaccine mandate known as Key to NYC Pass would take effect August 16, with enforcement beginning September 13. Anyone 12 and older must present proof that they have received at least one vaccine dose (using either a physical record, the state Excelsior Pass app, or the city's NYC COVID Safe app) in order to enter indoor gyms, bars, restaurants, and entertainment venues.[103][10][104][105] Ahead of the announcement, The Broadway League, Carnegie Hall, and the Metropolitan Opera had announced similar policies, with the latter two also prohibiting attendees younger than 12 from attending shows.[7]
San Francisco announced a vaccine mandate on August 12, 2021, requiring the patrons of indoor bars, restaurants, and any entertainment venue that serves food or drink, to be fully-vaccinated.[9]
New Orleans also announced a vaccine mandate on August 12, 2021, effective August 23, mandating that patrons of indoor venues such as gyms, restaurants, casinos, arenas, and stadiums, as well as any outdoor gathering of more than 500 people that exceeds half of the venue's total capacity, present proof of vaccination or recent negative test.[11]
On September 10, 2021, West Hollywood, California announced that by October 11, patrons 18 and older of the indoor portions of health and fitness facilities, personal care facilities, and any venue that serves food and drink indoors, must be fully-vaccinated.[106]
On September 14, 2021, Contra Costa County, California announced that a health order requiring patrons 12 and older of indoor gyms, bars, restaurants, and entertainment venues to be fully-vaccinated, effective September 22. The employees of such venues must also be fully-vaccinated by November 1, 2021, or they must be tested weekly for COVID-19.[107]
On September 15, 2021, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LAC DPH) announced that effective October 7, proof of at least one vaccine dose will be required to enter indoor bars and nightclubs, and outdoor events with more than 10,000 people. Beginning November 4, full vaccination will be required.[108]
On August 11, 2021, Los Angeles City Council unanimously approved a motion proposing an ordinance requiring patrons 12 and older of indoor public spaces to have received at least one vaccine dose.[109][110] On October 6, 2021, the ordinance was approved, taking effect November 8;[111] it is stricter than the Los Angeles County order, applying to all indoor restaurants, bars, shopping malls, recreation and entertainment venues, personal care services, and the indoor areas of city facilities. It also applies to outdoor events with more than 5,000 people.[112]
Political views
As with mask mandates before, support and opposition towards vaccine mandates and immunity passports has fallen along party lines, with Democrats largely supporting such measures, and Republicans considering them to be an infringement of personal freedoms and choice.[113]

Again not sure why you are wasting time with Australians when it looks like 20-30 of your states are going down the tube. Does the U in USA mean anything anymore?

As for this being a "foreign" hunting forum I'm pretty sure this is an American forum kind enough to give foreigners some space.

And it worked a lot better when we got that space. We thank the Americans who want to speak constructively.

And lucky me I don't live in a state where leftist scum make the rules.

Your lucky you live in a state where real men secured you freedom and some still do. These rights didnt just sprout out of the ground for your convenience. Id hope you put as much effort into keeping those freedoms or freeing up other US states, as you seem to spend here.

Probably not ever then. I require a 10 year track record of effective virus stoppage, before I put a vaccine in my body. So far, none of the current "vax's" have been proven effective, so the 10 year observation period has not started yet. We have corrupted the English language enough that we are calling this jab a vaccine - when it is NOT.

The "rules" will change over time. Queensland has just reopened its borders to other states. Once covid beomes less lethal to the point of being the same as the flu or lesser, there is no justification to not go back to the way it was. Omicron looks to be way less lethal than delta but vaccination would be a factor influencng that result.

I believe that the state governments have also abandoned contact tracing now ( not sure about Western Australia though, their premier is still scared out of accepting the inevitable reality and is still keeping others out of his state).

One other thing about international travel is that, including being fulling vaccinated, you'll need to go into quarantine once you get here. Those facilities that are often shown in the shock horror posts are for the incoming travellers since hotels won't have capacity and don't prevent the spread of covid. We've had cases where covid was spread in the quarantine hotels.

The whole world seems to be devolving into a liberal, authoritarian chithole

Where do you think your country fits in comparison, and why do you think that?

Whats funnier as I pointed out on another thread is Aus/NZ forums always come under this sort of attack by Americans.....but Euro/Russian/Asian/South American subforums (on various US hunting sites) almost never do.

Its been the same for 20 years of the internet. Its almost a law of the internet that we alone get all the vitriol from Americans.

Bizarre, considering despite our less than perfect gun freedoms, we still rank a lot better than most those other regions....

Can someone explain this phenomenon? Do Americans naturally dislike Australians more than say Asians, italians, russians, brits, south americans etc?

Once alpha was proven not to kill 1-3% of the population, in fact caused less impact in vulnerable countries than diaorhea and diabetes, it should have gone back the way it was.

They are changing the goalposts any time they want. Flatten the curve..protect the medical system( by burning enough money to have built a new medical system lol), vaccinate people with something that doesnt vaccinate. ..

We now allow vaccinated yet covid positive cops and nurses and supermarket staff to work due to staff shortages...meanwhile those not vaccinated were thrown out of their jobs.

???

You couldnt fit more contradictions or inconsistences into a single policy since the nazis said to the jews labour sets you free.

Mate you need to read Animal farm. It parodies how dictatorships work by convincing folks up is down, rich is poor, safe is risky, sick is well or any other rule they come out with week to week and it all works because the average person goes '' yeah I can sort of see how that would work''. lol
