Who’s the best, who’s the best bang for the buck?
Don’t need want a lot of creature comfort but passionate knowledgeable captains a plus.
Combo trips for salmon and butt’s.

Thanks in advance.

My Wife and I fished with North Country Charters last July. Very happy with them and would definitely recommend. We did a 3/4 day trip, $650 total, plus a tip.

I’ve fished with Puffin out of Seward before and had a blast.
But this time we’re staying in Homer.

Thanks

Unfortunately the best charter guy in Homer passed away this winter.
Daniel's is one I have a lot of respect for though. Nothing flashy or fancy, but a passionate, knowlegeable https://homerfishing.com/boat.htm
Another one to call is Steve McClure, McClures Ak Fishing Guides (907) 252-5842

And arguably the nicest boat in the fleet.

When are you looking at coming up? That will make a big difference on fishing. both quality of fish and what species to target.

Mid July most all of the Homer fleet is concentrating on halibut. If you want a combo salmon/halibut trip you're more than likely going to have to book the whole boat. It's still early for good silver fishing, but late for prime King fishing, even if it is open then. The inlet will be flooded with reds but we don't fish for them in the salt.

Good luck with your trip.

Looks like your halibut permits up there sold and leased like wildfire. Must be a busy year coming up.
