I had a post about using the TTSX Bushmaster bullets in my Encore.

Someone recommended the yellow Harvester sabot. I ordered some.

They fly ridiculously well. Honestly cutting holes at 100yds.

Saturday I snuck up on a coyote sitting on a trail in the sun. She got up and started crossing the trail but she was a bit slow.

Thats the exit side.

Shot was about 50yds I'd guess.

Charge is close to max with BH209. Around 2050fps at the muzzle.

That would likely be just inside a deers chest if I had to guess based on comparison of shooting and handling a bunch of yotes and deer.

Very happy and impressed with the performance.

I know probably all Barnes tipped muzzleloader bullets and Thors perform very similarly. I've shot Thors and know first hand. I've used the same bullet from my Bushmaster 300fps faster and it performed perfectly.

In my case, it's nice to be able to use the same bullet to feed both rifles. They were available so I stocked up on them and the sabots. I've learned when you find something that works and you like it, you buy enough to get through a long while.

Not cheap...but I'll pay for the accuracy and known repeatable performance that I get from them.

Figured I'd share. Might be others looking for a good bullet for their Bushmaster and inline. Or a good bullet for either.

Great report. They opened up well. I’m sure they’ll penetrate like crazy as well.

Yep I'd imagine they drive deep.

I've shyd away from copper solids till recently. The TTSX seems to be the bullet I've been looking for. Wicked violent quick expansion and deep penetration. Can't ask for anything else.

I'm already stockpiled on the bushmaster bullets....once I find something that works, I've learned to buy it when you can and supply the rifle "for life" I don't go nuts. But I can feed both rifles for my lifetime. Couple shots a year to check zero and to hunt.

Where can you find some of those bullets? Can you post a picture of the bullet?

Dang right, been posting for years about the destruction of the 290gr version of the tipped tsx muzzle loader bullet over 150gr loose 777, has to be seen to be believed, i shoot the 245gr hp boat tail Barnes TSX in my AR Bushmaster rifle, it does the same at 2250 fps over H-110 powder.

I've never used the Barnes Bushmaster bullets, but I've used Hornady 250 grain Monoflex ML bullets. At the same velocity (2050ish) it punched completely through the chest of a 252lb. Iowa whitetail at 117 yards. Dropped in his tracks.
