I swear to God, teaching the Chinese alphabet to my wife would be easier. It looks like I'm back to Scattergories for snow days.

Apparently it's difficult to teach to some people?

Never heard of it

I'd love to find a group of people with whom I could play Spades .

Been trying to learn the game. Received a cribbage board for Christmas and have watched a few how-to videos. So far wife's eyes roll back with all the scoring rules in cribbage. She'd rather play gin rummy. About the only game she occasionally wins.

I used to play in college, but I've completely forgotten how. I've been thinking about taking up the game again so my daughter and I can play. At twelve years old, she's pretty good at Gin.

Our horses used to do it on sassafras trees

That’s how I’m familiar with it

My wife and I used to play. She is way smarter than me, but doesn't really invest her brain into some strategy games.

We have one of those "up and back" boards (you had to go up and back twice to win), and if I would make the turn before her and get too far ahead, she would sometimes just absentmindedly change the direction she was pegging and follow me. She'd go from 20+ points behind to just a few behind! She always swore it was purely accidental! It made me laugh and love her for it!

Cribbage is a must in our family. It's played at every family get together and event. There is a wait list at the table to play and we usually have two games going, 2,3 and 4 man. You'll even see us paying solitaire cribbage if it's really early or late and there's no one to play with. We keep a custom board on the coffee table at all times. My wife and I play a lot in the winter after kids go to bed. It's great for kids just learning math, both my kids started playing at a young age and are great at math, could be why I don't know but it certainly didn't hurt.

Great game
I taught it to the grand kids and they are brutal. They figured it out really quick.

One of my favorites. My kids picked it up, so I've played it more in the last few years than I have in the last two decades.
