Any of you have experience with any Red Willow Ballards?

I have owned a couple of the Red Willow Ballards.
A #5 Pacific in 32/40 and a #4 Perfection in 40/85 Ballard.
Both were mechanically good guns and shot well
Though they were not used in competition (hunted only).
The fit and finish was not on par with the later Ballard Rifle & Cartridge Company guns which they proceeded.
I still own 3 of the latter guns in 38/55, 44/77SBN and
A 50/90.
I have between 600 and 700 NEW HDS 45/100
brass sleeves if you end up with the #7 Long Range.

Thanks for the info. I will let you know if it comes this way. Always wanted a Ballard and love the 2.6 cartridge.

Sadly I included the brass and dies in the deal when I sold off my Shiloh in .45-100. I have started searching for brass and that might be harder to find than hen’s teeth

No one had any in stock. The gun went for more than I was willing to pay so I quit looking

I believe starline has 45-100 brass right now. Very reasonably priced too. At least they did a few weeks ago when I was searching for 45-110 brass
