Geedub, if you sell these off will you have any knives left to use? ( snork!) laugh

I did for quite a spell.

However, I've come to realize at 5'8", a pistol with 6" bbl is not the wisest for carry when it comes to quick deployment. When I draw, the barrel on a 6" revolver or semi-auto tends to hang up on the lip of the sheath due to my short torso/arm length

I do not care for the restrictions of chest holsters and thigh rigs.

ya!

OK

I came by this one by accident, which was as a consolation. This is a very early Steingass, and is the one that got me interested in his knives. I'll tell the story to whomever buys this knife.

W2 w/ Hamon. DNR what type of wood that constitute the scales.

Pardon the repeat use of the Dillo' prop.

Clay Alaskan Skinner,

Lovingly Pre-enjoyed (No bone hacking with this one)

Steingass Hunter set. 154 CM, Exhibition Desert Ironwood

[Linked Image from hosting.photobucket.com]

This is a one-off Set of Steingass Knives. At $10K, S.R. Johnson's "Loveless Lambs were above my pain threshhold. I asked both Gene Ingram and TK Steingass to do a set of "repro's". This is the set TK made.
154 CM, White Linen Micarta, Stainless Loveless style pins, (G10 filled), thin black liners, bolsters and tapered tangs.

Like most of my knives, I've probably ruined the collector value as these also have been pre-enjoyed.

Anywho, if you have an interest in any of these, let me know.

ya!

Well, that was the best classified sub-forum thread title so far this year. Well played GW.

Those white linen handled knives sure are some beauty’s. Nice choice on the beverage in their backdrop as well.

Geedub I would definitely be interested in your first steingass and possibly the Ironwood pair although I have a hunch those will be above my pay grade…

I’m on my way to Yosemite but would be happy to pm you in a bit

Not to hijack the thread, but what would cause the photos to not show up? All I get is this:

……..and hence nothing to clean game with so no need for rifles - if I’m following the logic correctly😁

Awesome “stuff” as always GWB - you certainly have a very refined palate!!

Now that you mention it......

This one is marked "Proto". IIRC It is D2. Tapered Tang, thin red liners, Stainless pins, African Blackwood Scales.

[Linked Image from hosting.photobucket.com]

[Linked Image from hosting.photobucket.com]

3V Steel, Ram's horn scales, Stainless Pins, Tapered Tang, red liners, bolsters and spine jimping. The bolster's do have some scratches from use.

[Linked Image from hosting.photobucket.com]

As with many, of my knives, they have been enjoyed, and the price will reflect a discount. Neither have been resharpened.

I do not remember getting "cards" with these in regard to identifying all components, and I"m relying on memory in this instance. As with anything I sell, unless otherwise specifically stated that I'm selling "as is", full refund if you're not satisfied.

Either or both of these are available.

ya!
