Look, sorry Indians, but you lost. Accept your loss so we don't have to bow up and finish your sorry, loser asses off. Yes, life may kinda suck for you. Next time, don't lose...
In a few years the Mexicans running the US will be saying the same to you and me.

I have absolutely no idea what you said here ^^^^ are you perchance a college professor?

Your claim that you "have absolutely no idea" seems honest. If true, that would amplify and reinforce my first statement. It seems no sin to be ignorant, but it can be quite wasteful to remain so when given the opportunity to learn. The middle of the post addresses such. An answer to the final questions may be difficult for one without benefit of learning and thought. Some posting here have revealed thought rather than epithets.

Yes, for some time I was a professor - but mainly in a performance field far distant from cultural studies. The Socratic approach has been my friend.

I am hesitant to even read this thread - much more taking part in it! I know quite a few native Americans, and I agree they live up to most of the derogatory comments and descriptions and I am as guilty as the rest of the people making fun of them and looking down on them.
But I also know quite a few real decent Indians. I realize the majority of them are alcoholics in the worst way and lazy..
If you read some history of the Lakota Sioux , the Crows and the Cheyennes, you will learn how their lives were interrupted and changed completely by the US Govt. (kinda like what's happening to- day). The Indians were given pieces of land guaranteed by signed US Treaties.
All of them were broken by the US Govt. and they were rounded up and put on reservations that kept getting smaller and smaller if the US Govt. decided we needed more land for us white folks.
I realize that the Indian people aren't like us, but we aren't a lot different.
I will say that I would trust even the drunkest low life Indian more that I would an equivalent black person.
The Native American people have a legitimate reason to feel cast aside compared to the black people. What have they been deprived of in comparison?
I had better quit now,
Ken

You fight a Stone Age people with modern weaponry and unlimited resources, who is going to win. Any resistance is killed and anyone agreeing to reservation life becomes an instant welfare state.

Essentially you have killed the fighters and those that had any resistance to the impending culture conflict, leaving only the non aggressive pacifists that will settle for beads, beef and blankets rather than fight. Any leadership among the tribes was killed or rounded up and imprisoned leaving nothing but welfare recipients to occupy the reservations and produce the following generations of non productive left overs to continue the population.

100 years later what is left of the indigenous peoples can’t help but see how other worthless minorities have benefited from white guilt and they want some for themselves. Under the same circumstances all the white culture would go for the same handouts. As a matter of fact it is already happening in most of the major cities and it isn’t all done by blacks and Latinos.

Given the fact that White women are opting out of marriage and motherhood in droves, one could hardly blame them future Mexicans if they gloated..

Is anything cleaner than geo or hydro? We've already had some harsh lessons relying on solar and wind during adverse weather events...don't they need reliable power at the casino?

Nope, we just need you white guys to keep coming in and putting money in the slots. Next question please.. Put a little more thought into the next one though. This one was too easy..

Whatever you think of native Americans and what political sides you choose, you may want to rethink that type of name calling.

Yeah, some of them may shoot a lot better than he does. I know of 1 in particular..

Disclaimer...I had no intention of casting any racial or ethnic slurs on Injuns by this thread. I do have a big beef with the political stances they take as a group, with the assistance of white lawyers. Nothing makes them happy. The local Rancheria had so much money, built so many new houses, they had to advertise and search genealogy charts to find enough people to live in them (mostly BIA's screwup not the Injuns). The state of the art Health Clinic / Dental care facility, does not have enough customers, so they are pulling patients from the general public, which is ok, but in a sparsely populated rural area it makes an already shaky healthcare system financially non viable. The Karuk Tribe owns the largest construction company in the county with preference on govt bidding, owns the largest ready mix plant, owns the largest forest silviculture/fire prevention service, owns the largest housing provider/management entity, building the largest gas station/truck stop in the county, has quietly purchased the largest car dealership, and of course the casino (actually I like that idea, let the gamblers fund the tribe)...on and on. Happy though? No, now playing footsie with Warren Buffet and his Pacific Power to remove the dams on the upper Klamath that have been in existence for over a hundred years and supported one of the last wild salmon runs on the Pacific side. What will happen to the Klamath and it's salmon runs...nobody knows. Never happy, never enough.

Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

It is all worthy of respect, or at least recognition. None of that means that one ethnicity won't dominate. That is an inevitability that descends from the human condition and as such it is right and good.

Kai Murros put it as well as I have ever read:

[Linked Image from i.ibb.co]

Lots of truth in that last line. While genocide was never the policy of the U.S. government, those on the frontier subjected to Indian raids were all for it. It could have easily gone that direction. Likewise, every enslaved negro could have been shipped to Liberia or Africa sometime starting in 1866.

So note to aggrieved and offended minorities.....it could have been much worse.

Why can't we all just STFU and get on with life? Simple. It is to the advantage of the communists who want to destroy this country that we don't.

Back a few years ago in the local bar there was a discussion of the Indians and benefits. The barmaid said that she wishes she had a little Indian in her so she could get some freebies. Ole Joe who was about half native spoke up. Told her to follow him to the backseat of his car and he would take care of that for her. Got a good laugh from everybody. Edk
