Per Federal Flag Code, Section 2, paragraph (a), it is the universal custom to display the flag only from sunrise to sunset on buildings and on stationary flagstaffs in the open. However, when a patriotic effect is desired, the flag may be displayed twenty-four hours a day if properly illuminated during the hours of darkness.

Simple, if you don't make the effort yourself then STFU about anyone else. Ladies

I’ve called a few places out for leaving limpdick flags out in the rain.

The reply often is “but but they are All-Weather flags, so it’s ok”

Might can still raise a stink in Pissville, USA but in bigger cities youre up against numb skulls.

And this is in a military town

I have mine on a 30ft pole, illuminated with 3 spotlights. I use 3 lights so that it is lit no matter which direction it is blowing and it flies 24/7. I take it down in damaging wind..

I sure could go for some $2.50/gal gas and a mean tweet!

My flag in front of my home is a 3x5 on a 20' pole, with a solar light on top of the pole. Little solar light works really well, puts out more light than you might think to look at it.

Was curious how come more flags aren’t flying upside down.

Take care, Willie

Thought about it but realized it was pointless. Around here there are 2 classes of people. Those that know what is going on so they don't need to see an up side down flag to tell them anything. Then those that wouldn't know what it meant if they did see it.
