Last Christmas I got a T/C Compass in 308 Win, a caliber I had never owned before I topped the rifle with a 4X Nikon scope I had laying around and after scrounging up components I worked up a good load The hunting season kicked off with this CO bear in Oct 2021 Continued with a 300+ pound wild hog in TX Followed up with a really nice bobcat And concluded with this doe taken today All in all I fired 4 rounds at game and got 4 one shot kills. Life is good. Cheers

I just sighted my Mauser M12 .308 in today. Plan on culling a few deer as I have 6 more weeks left. Using factory ammo I'm using just plain Ole Federal blue box 150's.

I’ve had four T/C bolt guns Predator , Icon , and two ventures . Absolutely no complaints on accuracy , reliability, or service hated to hear they folded . 308 , 243 , two 30-06 , are good guns . The Icon had a beautiful stock and blue finnish , 243 and incredibly accurate . Have the Icon and 308 Predator to my step son , sold one Venture 06 and kept one . Seems loads from 110gr-200gr have all been easy to develope a load for that puts three shot groups in less than an inch often making a WOW ! group . Good hunting MAC Kenneth

Great season, just goes to show that you don't have to have a $2000 rifle and a $1000 scope to hunt with. Seen it many times that some of the best hunters I know don't have high end stuff. They spend their time in the woods and it shows.
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

Looks like you know where to place a bullet. Good shooting. Indeed. Like the old phrase about the indian mattering more than the arrow. Tough to argue with a good .308 or an accurate TTSX load.
Now with even more aplomb

An excellent cartridge to be sure. My only Elk was killed with a 308 Winchester. One shot at 120 yds. Went about 20 feet and dropped.
If we live long enough, we all have regrets. But the ones that nag at us the most are the ones in which we know we had a choice.
