Agreed. Ought to make for a good Super Bowl.

Hopefully you can figure out what a sack is.

Youre a sack, to be precise, a sack of schiett.

LOL.

Again...

The freaking 2017 Superbowl was won under these rules and now we have angst, disdain, disbelief...?

2019 AFC Championship game as well. Brady scores. Mahomes never touched the ball.

That was true once, but after the 7 full overtime fiasco between LSU and Texas A&M in 2018, they have revised the rules.

2 full possession OT periods.
In the second OT period all touchdowns must be followed by a 2 point conversion attempt.
In the third and subsequent OT periods the teams run just one 2 point conversion attempt per possession.

With all these 2 point attempts, it's now much harder for teams to match each other and games are decided quickly.

and; there was still a 9OT game this year between PSU and Ilinois

That may be, but considering that the last 7 overtimes consisted of 2 plays each it went a lot faster than it would have with full overtimes.

Agreed. It was a pleasure to watch two teams play with such talent and demonstrate their training. The Houston teams I've seen usually take the whole season just trying to learn how to tackle..

God still loves you panko.

Do I agree with some of the antics and stances of the NFL? Most certainly not, but some of us are able to exercise some tolerance and are comfortable enough in our own skin to admit/own it.

A simple fix would be a possession for both teams and then revert to the current rule.

Although I did like it when Brady got a fat and bloody lip!!! He wasn’t smiling then! 🤭🤭🤭😁😁

Yes, Bills got screwed by the OT rule, but Allen got screwed by his coach and Defensive coordinator. With 13 seconds left, you squib kick and make them burn a few seconds. Then with all those timeouts, you play your regular cover 2 defense and man up on those receivers and grab the crap out them and deny them the ball, even if you get defensive holding, because the CLOCK is your enemy. Allen got hosed after two of the most incredible playoff games in history:

790+ total yards
9 Touchdowns
0 INTs
83 points scored
139 passer rating

It would make more sense if NFL OT rules allowed both teams a chance to possess the ball at least once. I thought Buffalo would steam roll KC . Their offense seemed unstoppable lately.

Yep, this. The best team needs to win more than just the coin toss.
