when to a LGS today and the entire store was filled with cases of 9mm and 223. CCI 250 primers were available. CCI rimfire was there in 22, 22mag and even hmr. The HMR was even priced at pre scamdemic levels. The rest of the ammo was not. This has been a theme in some stores around me. umm the prices have got to start coming down. I haven't bought anything. still wondering why berger can't seem to make 6.5 bullets while everyone else seems able to. but I think the problems with stuff is loosening up.

Saw both large & small pistol primers for sale yesterday. Don't need any but it's good to see stuff coming back. Was talking to the counter guy who says things are starting to come back slowly. But not much powder selection yet. I would like to grab some IMR-7828 and he said they have not gotten any of the IMR powders in quite a while.

I was at a Scheels yesterday and was surprised by all the ammo they had on the shelves. Didn’t see a single primer though. I think I saw enough ammo available to maybe feel like I could add another rifle and not have to worry about finding a decent selection or amount of ammunition for it. Good luck, Dave

Local Cabelas had primers for $89/1000. I passed at those prices…plus I have plenty for now. 9mm and .223 are readily available. I’ve got a place that I’m buying loaded 35 Whelen Remington ammo for about the same price as empty brass for the Whelen. I’d like to find some more decent .358 bullets as I’ve only been able to get 250 & 280gr A-Frames which is great except they’re more of my specific purpose rounds. I’d like to get some 200 and 225 (T)TSX for an all around everything load. In the meantime I’ll continue to churn out once fired brass from $30 boxes of Remington Express rifle ammunition. I need to run the factory Remington stuff over my chronograph, I might be pleasantly surprised if the 250gr stuff is going fast enough.
It does seem like the madness is loosening up a little. I saw 1 new box of Whelen ammo at Cabelas too which is the first time they’ve had that in over a year.

9mm, .223, .308, 350 Legend, 7.62x39, have been available for a long time. But hardly anything else. I never thought would ever see the day when you could go through a whole deer season and not see a box of 30-30 or 30-06 on the shelf. Lately we are also seeing .40 and 45 auto.

I was over to see “my guy” on Friday. Lotsa 9mm, 45 ACP, and 5.56, NO PRIMERS, Hodgdon propellants, almost no Alliant, and a few IMR.
Can’t wait to get some small- pistol & rifle primers ‘

Can’t wait to get some small- pistol & rifle primers ‘ Do you mean he had Hodgdon or no? Specifically looking for "Clays". Our club is selling a box for $12. Hope it's still cheaper to reload, but I'm getting low on components. Go through a couple thousand rounds a year. Gets spendy at $12 bucks per.

Last week at the Scheels in Missoula, MT. All kinds of factory loaded ammo. Center fire , rim fire. lots of it. Limited powder, zero primers. Maybe when the factory loaded ammo reaches the saturation point, primers & powder for reloaders will come back at reasonable prices.

A local gun store had a box of 50 9mm range ammo for $42. Bargain!
Been finding it online for about $17, and I still think its a bit high...

Lots of ammo available, but I'm not paying $.30 a round for 9mm FMJ and $.60 a round for Winchester White box 5.56.
