a local friend says he has been diagnosed with this stuff. He lives on some acreage outside of town, and is in the woods a lot. Evidently it's very unpleasant. https://www.webmd.com/allergies/what-is-alpha-gal-syndromeAlpha-gal syndrome is an allergy to things like beef, pork, lamb, venison, rabbit, and other animal products that come from mammals. It was first discovered in 2009. Alpha galactose, the source of the allergy, is a sugar present in most animal cells. Alpha-gal symptoms develop after certain tick bites.

Have had it for 4 years.
Took the seventh Dr. to actually diagnose.
All the others just thought it was symptoms post Lyme.
Became a non voluntary Vegan overnight. The last two
Years have introduced diary back into the diet.

My dad had it and it was bad. You can’t eat any mammalian meat, so you are basically limited to birds and fish (and I suppose reptiles). You get really sick of chicken pretty quick.
