I started to come down with a cold/flu on Sunday and got tested on Monday - results came back positive so I'm in isolation for a week. Working from home anyway and I'll start back "at work" tomorrow - had Monday and Tuesday off because I was feeling sick, but mild symptoms.
For me it's been like a cold but with more headache and no runny nose. A bit of fatigue to start with but that only lasted a day. The last two nights when I've gone to bed I've been fully congested (with what? Nose has not been runny) and haven't been able to breathe through my nose but wake up in the morning and all is clear again. Even though I woke up this morning without a headache and feeling the best I have been for the past few days, my sense of smell/taste is completely gone - normally the bedroom smells like farts in the morning.
I am double vaxed BTW. The second shot gave me headaches similar to the covid and extra aches than covid but only lasted a day, and no congestion or loss of smell.

Hope you get better quick. Friends daughter lives in New York and has had it twice, original in 2020 which took her six months to get over, she’s young and fit, and early last December before coming out to Aus for Christmas.
Thanks. It was inevitable and I'm kind of glad to some extent that it's now being allowed to run it's course. Of course it's unfortunate that there may be terrible consequences but that's always on the cards anyway.

Glad it’s mild for you. I had it after Christmas and from your description, just a little worse — I had a cough that lasted a couple of weeks and a pretty bad backache for a day or two. But the worst of it was the fatigue.
We’re not vaccinated and we got covid several months back. It was pretty damn mild and much less severe than most colds I’ve had. I didn’t even know I had it until my wife decided to get us tested.
We do know the efficacy of the vaccine is piss poor. Our first clue as to what a dismal failure it is comes from the fact that you’re sick with the disease you were vaccinated against. When a vaccine doesn’t prevent infection or transmission then it’s a safe bet that it ain’t a vaccine. 😉

Yes we have. Nobody in my household will be allowing them to use us as their Guinea pigs in their human vaccine trials. We support our immune system with a daily multivitamin, vitamin C, vitamin D, Zinc and a baby aspirin for good measure. 👍
We’re all extremely healthy and we have no co-morbidity’s so I’d guess that we’re in the best position for giving big Pharma and our crooked government the middle finger.
We were faced with the possibility that my wife was going to lose her job if she didn’t get vaccinated. We had serious conversations about this and we decided that we’d not capitulate to their illegal and unconstitutional demands and they’d have to fire her. She’s been happily employed there for 23 years with ZERO issues regarding her performance. We have retained excellent counsel and are prepared (as best we can be) for their next move. We did apply for and received a religious exemption so that should help us if the company changes their tune. Luckily this company has been fantastic and they do seem to value their employees so much so that they kept modifying their policies in an attempt to stave off government overreach and to make reasonable accommodations for their employees. It’s not an easy choice to make when you’re potentially faced with losing a $200,000+ a year job plus excellent benefits but for us our decision was made easier knowing that we have a place to go that we own outright and that is NOT subject to property taxes, building codes or permits. We weren’t going to sacrifice our principles because of illegal government intrusion….this is the hill that I’m willing to die on.
I’ve been absolutely blown away by the apparent disconnect from reality shown by the vaccinated. It’s as if they’re required to double down on stupid simply because they made an irrevocable decision. The number of people that are out sick with covid at my wife’s work is extraordinary. Of the roughly 100 people in her department there are 10 that aren’t vaccinated. Not a single one of the unvaccinated have called in sick from covid yet covid is sweeping through her department like a wildfire infecting the vaccinated and boosted. In my experience this past year I’ve come to the hypothesis that with every injection and booster 10-15 IQ points are erased from the human Guinea pig….most people don’t have an excess of IQ points to lose.
I’ll say it again but I don’t expect those that most need to hear it will understand it……If you’re vaccinated and you can still get the disease and spread the disease then you ARE NOT vaccinated, you’ve been duped and you’ve unknowingly submitted yourself to human experimentation.

Efficacy may be low but we will never know if I benefited from the vaccine in any way - can only speculate.
I knew the risk of coming under personal critisism for this post but did it anyway. I also knew the "risk" of critisism for getting vaccinated but that was not a factor that influenced my decision.

Fair enough, i understand your position. The military powers make odd calls at times. I've even heard of an example of the military command requiring all soldiers to recieve penicillin shots on the basis of those with allergy to it being treated afterwards, a bit of a risky exercise, but a risk they were happy to subject the soldiers to for benfit of the majority. Some do have extremely bad reactions.
I'll arc up if anyone judges me against their beliefs where it's not their place to do so. I decide to get the flu shot every year even though it's a far less lethal condition than covid. I've had the flu only 3 or 4 times in my life when I was younger and was lucky to not have any other cold like symptoms with it - it's the chances of developing other conditions as a result (like pnuemonia) while the system is compromised that lead me to this decision. The risk increass with age.
For the longest time I was also suspicious of the flu shot and only started to get it in the past few years. The risks are always there either way but that's the decision I've determined for myself. What others do or don't is their choice and doesn't bother me. I don't ask and don't otherwise think about it. I don't feel a need to avoid people who otherwise appear to be sick - well except maybe those with the plague or ebola or something like that. I think most people are like this.

Vaccines have an effectiveness so there is no guarantee that it'll work, and I think that was understood. The effects of covid were overstated as was the effectiveness of the vaccines - that's why they shortened the time to get the booster.

Whatever a person’s feelings on Judeo/Christian theology are it has provided the best blueprint philosophically to date on how to live, raise a family and organize a society in world history. Strong nuclear families, hard work, self sacrifice, honesty, deference to bosses and those placed in a higher position but without blind obedience, and self reliance among other core ideals are widely understood Christian fundamentals.
It’s no accident that those Judeo/Christian values built the modern world everywhere that they gained a foothold in the West or that we’re seeing it crumble the further that we drift away from it.

As far as I'm aware it's largely over for the run of the mill public over here. Not sure what they're doing with the medico's side of things.
School teachers were "supposed" to get vaccinated when it was still going on but some didn't - they never lost their jobs and the outfall currently being pushed by our state government is that those who didn't comply (no need to comply now) will have their pay docked as a penalty. Looks really stupid since people are leaving that profession for a whole bunch of reasons. I think there will be enough backlash for them to not continue with the pay docking.

Actually, there's a good number of studies which show that Ivermectin is effective against COVID, particularly when administered early, or as prophylaxis. It also has a lengthy record of safety in humans, being used for a number of other purposes. The main argument against it in the case of COVID seems to have been that if it was admitted to be effective the EUA for mRNA injectables would not be valid, and there were billions of dollars at stake in ensuring the EUA status (due to its protection of the manufacturers from liability) and eliminating any competing therapy.
For my own part, as a person trained in science and scientific research, albeit in another field, I read the papers rather than the propaganda. Having done so I avoided the injectables and laid in a supply of Ivermectin, Quercetin, Zn and vitamin C. Covid when it came was a bit of a non-event for my household - we each had about 3 days of what was no more than a cold, and have had no recurrence. This is not medical advice, but I am happy with the decisions I made. The more research becomes available as to the adverse effects of the injectables the more it confirms me in my views.

In Australia there have been somewhere about 17,000 more deaths than should have been expected so far this year (based on 2010 - 2019 figures). That is about a 23% increase.
There are a wide range of causes: heart diseases like myocarditis and pericarditis for example, Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (who had heard of that before covid?) as well as other diseases. Covid deaths are part of it too, with a sharp rise in those numbers. It is interesting to note that the increase in excess death (and most covid deaths) occurred after December last year, that is to say, after most of the population had been injected with the "vaccines".
You might also want to have a look at rates of live births too, while you are about it.

Much of what you wrote has been around for a while, and before I got vaxed. There were contradictions with that and the advice I was provided and information I used in my decision. Sure the government were heavily pushing the vaccine and many public and private companies were mandating vaccination but, as you know, it ultimately was a personal choice. It wasn't a requirement of the companies I worked for but was for many of the clients we had, but we had work arounds.
End of the day, you made your choice and I made mine. In my circles it's not something that we really discuss nor need to. Not to say that there is still some outfall but we're largely moving on. There are a line-up of Karens on this website in particular that can't move on because they are triggered by those that chose something different to what they did - they seem to prefer to wallow in their self imposed misery. I don't doubt that there will be on-going reviews and documentaries coming out for decades to come and people will make their political decisions based on their experiences (and that will be the usual mixed bag of for and against), but the horse has bolted and things are moving on. It was a global issue and handled differently by different nations. I don't think that anyone will be hanged for what they did or didn't do. Governments weren't brought down during the event - people complied, people resisted, it wasn't complete unified rebellion. People just want to move on, at least that's my take on it. There will always be those complaining. Not being flippant, just my take on the situation.

As AUS is today we will be in 10 years. Dictatorship has always been the most popular and effective way to manage the mob.
