So how should the R’s play the upcoming SCOTUS confirmations? I am assuming if Mushmouth Mitch is in charge of the RINO side of the aisle, it will resemble a monkey screwing a football.

But with the makeup of the court set at 5-4 (6-3? Ha!), the makeup won’t change with the replacement of one liberal with another. So do the Rs let the Dems nominate the most liberal, America hating piece of socialist scum and let the Dems own it and risk an even bigger loss in Nov? Do they pick 10 solid red senators to rubber stamp it and hope their constituents understand what the deal is?

Or do they play a delay game and risk being labeled as racist, potentially losing a few tight races in Nov?

What do the fire’s resident prognosticators say??

We should pray they submit someone like Hairass who failed her first law exam, debate the hell out of it, vote her down at the last minute then not have enough time to pass another puke until Rs gain control after Nov elections.

Pillgood, who do you pray to, if i may ask?

Satan, the abortionist, the god of Biden and Piglosi, or THE GOD, who named us in our mothers womb?

I pray to God Almighty. I am saved by faith alone in Christ alone! I am not sure what you are asking. I was simply looking at the politics of the whole thing.

If they delay, delay, delay we know some puke will cave since someone has dirt on them and they will get their 60 anyway. All the while the media will use that for all it’s worth and the independent voters in the middle that have turned on Biden may flip. I’m also wondering if this is a quick flash in the pan confirmation, the media and the democrats (yes I repeated myself) don’t get to wring their hands for weeks of news cycles. Then who does it help?

There is a theory that for Senate confirmation, the Vice President cannot cast the tie breaking vote. Some pretty high powered law professors support this theory.

So the Dems do not have enough votes to confirm by themselves, since they cannot muster a majority if that theory is correct. Apparently, there is also precedent to support the theory.

So just possibly Brandon will be forced to nominate someone acceptable to both sides of the aisle. Possibly. Maybe.

More likely, Brandon's team is so dumb and tone deaf that they will go for someone woke with oatmeal where their brains should be, and we will have a major bumpy ride.

Republicans will bluster and posture and poke holes in the clouds with their fingers - then roll over and vote "For" whoever PedoBiden nominates. Tell me I'm wrong.

There's was also a recent article detailing how the nomination could be held up in committee and require a cloture vote, and hence 60 votes, to move the nomination to the floor. In such a scenario it's possible we could keep it bottled up unit November when we'd theoretically have more leverage.

But you're not exactly right, either. Nobody knows what this clown show is going to produce these days and that is the real danger of having these RINOs hanging around and poisoning the well. We already know how the democrats/liberals will vote, but the Republicans can occasionally put together a coalition that can withstand big votes if there is enough in it for them. Especially people like Romney and Collins will sway whichever way the next election winds will blow so they will be paying close attention to who is nominated and how their rich "supporters" react- not their constituents....

Who or what is Michelle Childs, district judge from SC? I see she's on the short list. Black woman, of course.

Assuming the Republicans will Unite and vote NO against “The First Black Woman” ever nominated to the Supreme Court is delusional at best.

Even during the confirmation hearings the Republicans will be extremely careful with their words for fear of being called a racist and/or a sexist. They will be walking on eggshells the whole time. Watching might even make you wanna Puke.

If a guy like Merrill Garland can capture 20, count them 20 , Republican “Yes” votes, a poor repressed Black Woman that fought her way out of the ghetto against all odds in a White Man World, will have No problem getting at least those 20 votes and then some.

I say 92-5 at least.

Take the first one nominated and confirm them.............

1 Biden isn't going to nominate anyone that the right can support.

2. Whoever it is it will not change the basic makeup of the court, it does fill a LIB seat for the next 20-30 years though, and I get that.

3. As some have already said the right will NOT stick together en bloc...

4. The left desperately needs something to take the focus off the disaster that is Biden/Harris.

5. A protracted confirmation process could be that something....

6. Confirm the nominee and get back to Inflation, Ukraine, the Border etc.

7. In other words ' Don't give the bastids the chitt show they are looking for'

IMHO

I don't believe they're smart enough to do that.

Muffin that was the purpose of my OP. Specifically #s 6 & 7. Not because I want a socialist confirmed, but the Rs play the minority party role really well. My question was does that mindset help them flip another senate seat in Nov?

Logically, this makes the most strategic sense.
