Finally got my limbs from Blackwidow.
Ordered riser first, limbs later.
But now have a new PSA2.

All four of my builds have been Greybark. First one in 87.

Sold em and others over the years.

Now I just have a 91 HS 58" and this 2021 PSA2 58".
May keep em both or sell the HS and get another set of limbs. Both risers feel great but are different.

Kinda want to run just one grip on my hunting stuff.

3D i can shoot gap and be a little adaptive. Buddy runs a Ghillo and Ill go over and try it out.

But yay.....finally got my " bow ". Of course I reworked a few hundred parts last night at work.....so my iffy shoulder is jacked.

Will do PT later today and maybe try a few arrows out of it tomorrow. Pics in a few ( just another grey plywood bow ).

Took my old HS apart, and put in the new bows box.
String had maybe 200 shots on it so slapped it on the new bow.

Like a bow quiver and usually run a Delta. On my HF1225 and three HS the limb bolts were tapped ( bolts on front of riser ) and it just bolted right up ( since I leave my bows together it doesnt matter ).

Like the bigger hood of the Delta, compared to a Great Northen or Selway ( have run those as well ).

My prev 2004 PSA2 I made custom brackets to go pn the rear limb bolts/ bezels.they came out and turned so a Delta could bolt on w QD knobs.

And the brackets made so that in profile they were parallel.

Had two sets done, and mine went bye bye w the bow.
Dunno if the other guy has the other, he machined em for me, and was gonna get a Blackwidow too.

Ill.mess around w my old Delta and see how the factory brackets work ( bent for HS/HF....just reverse em ).
May end up w a GN strap on.....an early BD present to myself.

Shorty and the ol lady are happy I dropped poundage on both wheels and trad. This messed up shoulder is a PITA.

Hopefully i can continue to heal. But if not my son in law will be getting a nice rig LOL

Thanks. Seems a bit bland, subdued, since I had the riser done without the big red normal stripe.

My 3 prev builds were standard w red stripe in the greybark.

Last build for me. Too old now so wont be needing another.
Am not saying a new BW is worth what they cost

I like their mass weight and draw, so paid for it.

I bought a Thunderhorn Lynx for my longbow last month. I picked a hood out of the blems and they built it into a quiver in about a week. It’s pretty nice for $60 and I like the carbon rod better than the steel one I remember GN having. Of course that was 20 years ago so GN may be using carbon now too.

Slick looking outfit you got there. I backed off the poundage this year too and I doubt I’ll go back up.

My bows have wheels on the limbs. But that is a great looking recurve!

Any of you stick bow shooters do any 3d shoots?

I shoot a couple a year at Wagoner, OK. Im probably going to the archery challenge shoot at beavers bend, OK this April and gonna try to make the rinehart 100 at Conway AR.

If you are gonna make either one of those hit me up Id be pleased to visit and shoot with you.

I used to shoot 3D shoots.
Nice one about 45 mins away, buds and I hit it all summer.
Another one 2 hrs north, old school cool.
Also shot nationals (Cloverdale).

Unconscious gap, hunting weight bow, hunting weight arrows.
I was not gonna be close to competitive.
Finished decent though.

And I did well come hunting season smile

Last big shoot I went to.....proly 2003. Too many tradtards and azzholes IMHO.

IBO and trad were both a blast, back in the 80's. Fun but lesser, through the 90s.Then both got too popular and attracted the non hunting crowd.

So now, a bud or two and I will go on non trophy shoot days to an established club and just shoot for fun. Keep score, but that for personal records.

Well I'm looking at quivers, the Selway would be OK if in black. They don't offer the leather wrapped bracket type they used to.
I ran one back in 03 but went back to a Delta in '04

#57 lb PSA2 58"

Ran a Delta on my HF1225 and all three HS.
My first HS, #59 lbs. The Ktech stabilizer on lower limb bolt helped balance and took a little vibe out.

My first trad deer was my biggest, just a 100" 8 pt that dressed around 155#.
Shot him on the trot though .....17 yards smile
No pics, don't even have the skull cap. He broomed one end of a beam and it left a rounded dark spot.

Yup, I kill small deer. So might as well have some sport with it.............hence trad. smile

The no red looks great. I did a PSAX Kingwood a couple of years ago as what will probably be my last build. I’m using the Thunderhorn small fry on mine and really like it.

The grey is way darker than my other ones, so I think.
My first MA2 in 87 was pretty light.

Didn't shoot it today as my shoulder popped out of socket a bit when I got up. Wasnt out but was proly 1/3 of way.
Big shift and pop.

Did my PT just a few ago. Now its clicking and popping.

I had to rework a bunch of stuff Friday and that overdid it. Maybe try to shoot it next weekend.

I had a early 90s vintage Graybark that looked green at times. The darker gray looks much better.

sure. last one. (I tell myself that chit al the time too) wink

I do like the looks of the widows. I've only owned one and it was a shooter for sure, but I sold it to buy my original Silvertip. You need a set of skins on it to make it "yours".

The chances they come, and the chances they go.
But the time. You don't get that back.

Am not a fan of skins, or antler bolts or laser logo/ words on overlays.

Regular boring grey lam for me.

I bought it to kill stuff. Not win an award at some hick rendezvous.

Some guys pimp their bows out, too much.

Kinda like a woodsy version of the fat tan guys w gold jewelry down in FL.😂

Get old and try to be gawdy fashion plates

I do think some of the Blacktail sculpted risers to be cool, but theyre art pieces and on a bow are just too much.

I like a little embelishment, not all over ( no matter how well done ).

Kinda like tattoos on women.

No thanks.
