Doubt they'd be interested, but could do one for RIFLE LOONY NEWS if enough subscribers are interested.

Lately they need a little "BOOT IN THE PANTS" to get a little more interest going!

They seem to be running out of interesting things to write about and are picking Long Shots.

Count me in the "interested" column, John.
If you were to do such an article, what tack would you take? Are there new powders you think might be good? How about "inexpensive" bullets, like the 285 PPU's and a penetration test/field test? What other angles might make for an interesting exploration? A great twist would be to get actual pressure trace data to go with the most promising loads.

Cheers,
Rex

I’m an interested subscriber and would also like to hear your thoughts on the PPU bullets since I have a goodly number.

I have hundreds of the 285 PPU. Pretty decent bullet though it seems a little hard for deer. An article on hand loading would be short. It could go something like this for me: 58.5 great RL 15 under 286 NP 3.290 COAL. The end.

Just subscribed.
I squeezed some PPU 9.3mm bullets through a Lee .358 sizer die (had to use a piece of pipe for a handle extension!) to load for my .35 Whelen with a 1:14 twist barrel. No "spring back". They hold right at .358". Should be fun!

Too weird - just traded emails about a hunt in Zim where the outfitter said "sure, it's enough gun, but bring enough bullet!"

Count me in the interested group for that article!

The only reason I don't have a 9.3x62 is I couldn't find one at the time and then my wife bought me a .338-06. But I have been considering selling it and getting a 9.3x62 (if I can find one I like.) I read everything I can on the 9.3 so count me in.

I just re-upped my subscription at the very idea of it. I'd love some more 9.3 reading material, especially if it had some load data for other powder options for 286s.

I’ve been a fan of the 285 gr PRVI bullets for a long time and have killed coyotes, deer, and pigs up to 300 lbs with them. Combined with Varget powder, it’s my go to 9.3x62 load.

I will be using mine in a BC black bear hunt. Right now loaded with 250 AB. Have partitions also, but pretty confident with the 250's.
Up for a new article though.

The 250 AB worked excellently for me on a good black bear; but so did the 286 Hornady and 286 NP. But recently I got a good deal on some 320gr Woodleighs, so will load up some at +2400 fps for a spring bear hunt as an alternate to my .458 WM - the .458 one day and the 9.3 the next, etc, until a good bear shows up.

Yet, I think that 285 - 286gr for the 9.3 x 62 is like a 180gr in a .30-06, sort of the best all-around performer for a wide variety of game from medium to large.
