I’m considering a Chiappa ‘92 from Midway USA. Is the front sight easily replaceable? I.e. is it dovetailed in? I’d like to replace it with either a gold bead or globe. Thanks.

Depends on the exact model. The octagon models are dovetailed = easy. Mine is a carbine, 20" Round barrel .44 mag. The front sight is a blade pinned into a post that is integral with the barrel, perhaps soldered on. Not easy.

That’s what it appeared to me from the few pics I could find. Thanks!
