I have examples of his top three winners. I like knives that cut and slice and of his top three I would place the Spyderco PM2/3 first, the Benchmade 940 second and the ZT a distant third in cutting and slicing performance. My Spydie is S30V, the Benchmade 940 is S30V and the ZT is S35V. The ZT S35V is harder to touch up than either of the other two knives. As good in cutting performance as the Spyderco PM S30V series is the S30V 110 from the Buck Custom Shop. Grind geometry, heat treatment and thickness behind the edge are important.

MOGC; Good afternoon to you sir, I hope the weekend is treating you well.
For sure all you've mentioned is important.
I've got a couple knives that are S30V and I'd give the nod for edge holding to the Paul Bos heat treated Buck Vantage Pros for sure.
In my pocket most days when it's not hunting season is a ZT 0566 with the Elmax blade, which replaced a ZT 0560 only because the 0560 was just too big for my pocket.
While I wanted the Elmax to get "undivided attention sharp" it really doesn't quite match the S30V of the Bucks, but it's tough, tough steel and will keep that slightly less scary sharp state for months of abuse around the place here.
Anyways I thought I'd share as I enjoy how creative he is with his testing.
Watched the PF video earlier today. Informative enough to be interesting. Too bad he only had the Aus-8 version of the Rat 2 to test and not the D2 version. Really like mine in D2. The old standby Buck 110 fared well too, and mine is the sharpest OOB folder I've ever had. I will say that the CJRB Field Spar he was testing was a really good looking knife with those natural G10 scales, and I will probably be adding one soon.
I really dislike that fellow's delivery and voice. Like a finger nail on a black board.
The Rat 2 in D2 is a great little knife. I like my Benchmade Mini Grip in 154CM, and one of the best out there, if you can find one, is the Spyderco Brad Southard flipper in CTS-204p
That old standard Buck 110 in the test would be Buck's 420HC blade steel instead of their common upgraded S30V. The standard 420HC is pretty pedestrian stuff, though Buck obviously does a good job with it. It is easy to find a Buck with upgraded S30V steel and there have been a lot of cutting test pitting different manufacturers against each other and Buck always comes out rating high in those test.

couple of years back, I had this one made by the custom shop. The S30V with carbon fiber scales. It is an amazing knife, and I have thoroughly enjoyed it.
