I have deposit down on a lot in Fredonia Mountain Nature Resort on the Cumberland Plateau about 45 miles Northwest of Chattanooga. 3 acres on about a 2 acre lake/pond. The development is 3500 acres with much of that in dedicated green space. Loads of wildlife. Several community lakes and ponds. Gated, golf cart friendly with reasonable restrictions. Several creeks and miles of hiking and biking trails. Found a decent realtor. Good prospect for several 50-90 acre hunting leases within walking distance. This will be where I hang my hat when my wife and I are fully retired in 3 years. The view from the road. The view looking down the road. My back yard Creek right down the road. Critters everywhere. Largest neighborhood lake. No motors allowed. Nice houses in the hood. Mine will be one of the smallest!

Nice place you and your wife will retire to. Good for you both. I have some friends that retired to the Tellico Plains area and they love it.

Congrats!
Knowing what you want and making the decision. +1

Everything we found was a difficult build and surrounded by impossibly steep bluffs. I love the Tellico Grains Bakery. This lot has good soil, few rocks and a nice level area just above the pond.

Nothing says freedom like a gated HOA. No sheit, but you gotta remember that the OP owns more spandex than all of us put together. 😁😁
