I'll laugh my ass off if Winchester releases a 338 WSM to counter it. I would think that newer powders will get them that extra performance they originally wanted!

Wow! 50 FPS faster than a .35 Whelen handload in a flyweight rifle?

I get your point, but the Weathermark in 6.5 RPM is 6.25lb. so even without a brake, scoped and loaded in 338 RPM would probably be reasonable, right?

On their flyweights, the brake would help.

Yes, it could. Maybe needs a little feedrail/follower tweaking.

Yeah, I’d bet it would be a piece of cake. If it needed anything I’d bet it wouldn’t be much.

It gets the gears turning.

I think the WSM class of cartridges are pretty much done for. With the exception of the few that were received pretty well ..... honestly any more coming out.

338-06. Won't know the difference when the trigger is pulled. Or just put a 200 grain bullet in the 06 you already own and have at it. Rifle and bullet manufacturers are reinventing the wheel. And I'm a big weatherby fan. All I own rifle wise.
