Contacted Bob (1899guy) a while back to say Hello and see how he was doing. Mentioned what a good time was had at the 2016 Savagefest in Wellsboro and jokingly asked if he ever considered hosting another ‘fest. Bob indicated he also had a great time and if scheduling permitted he would do it again. Never too early to start planning…..just gauging interest in attendance and some potential in-the-future dates.

Hopefully we are booked for this year. Two years after that? I think Rory and I are in.

RAS has been trying to organize one for the last 2 years, and the pandemic keeps putting a kabosh on it. Yea, we're do for Savage Fest. I've been waiting to see if RAS was going to try again this year so been dragging my feet. But I could throw another Savage Fest later on in August or September. Prefer August before school starts here. My hope would be to have new book release/signing too. Both Rory & David have worked hard on these and many have contributed. So I'm not committed yet. Due to geography I don't think Eastern and Midwestern Fests would compete really. Depends where you start, either is a pretty good drive. Options are open currently, but booking facilities, etc. needs to happen soon if it's going to.

If hell don't freeze over, the creek doesn't rise and the new book is out I'll try to attend but will have to fly and have the books shipped. But don't hold your breath. The publisher is still saying the book will be released in the Fall.

I really tried putting one together 2 years ago but Covid crushed that one. Then last year I put out a questionnaire to see how many people felt OK and coming and I got a lukewarm response. Meeting some people still weren’t comfortable in gathering in groups. Which is fine. But as far as this year I haven’t done anything. If somebody else wants to take the cog, then have at it.
I would like to go.

I’m not getting any younger so I’ll throw out a date for Wellsboro, how about sometime in June/July 2023? It’ll be here before you know it.

Being I'm still a working stiff, I can only commit to one fest a year....and I'm committed to the Noxen fest. Love the comradery every one of the last 4 years. Bonus is getting to shoot our irons before dinner and adult beverages surface. Look forward to it usually start salivating about ....now.

I am interested. I really enjoyed 2016 Wellsboro, which is the only SavageFest I have been able to attend. Since giving my only 99 to my SIL, I am looking for a replacement, but have yet to narrow down my specs.

Any of that would work for me with the exception of the last full weekend in July (27th-30th or something like that) Dale

Update Wellsboro 2023
Bob (1899guy) requested that I further gauge interest and put some dates out there for the group to consider. He will make whatever date the group decides on happen.

Thanks for taking the initiative, Ted. Any of those dates is ok by me.

I wouldn't be able to make the first one, June 9/10/11. Others look good at the moment.
