$20 for Weaver bases and rings will do about the same.

I have that setup now...the Ashley setup is much lower and more forward..these 2.5 Leups have almoy 5" eye relief...
I ordered one to see how it work out 👌🤠

The Warne bases are lower than Weavers. You can also get an extended Warne front which will do about the same as the base pictured above. I prefer Burris Zee rings with the Warne bases for low mounting on Marlins.

This shows a difference in height compared to the earlier post I made showing the conventional set up.
This is what I would say is the lowest mount...the Ashley Outdoors special mount with Leupold DUAL Dovetail Super Low rings...and a Leup 2.5 Scope on my Marlin 1895 45/70 pre safety

Its low but other options are as low or lower, not by much though.

One would be Weaver S466 mounts and a low ring, the other is something like Ranger Point Precision rail and low rings.

I have a bunch of Talley 1 piece extra lows while not the lowest, is the trimmest and close to lightest.

I think the Lightest would be S466 with Leupold low rifleman rings.

My 2.5’s never work for me that far forward except with a youth stock.

I have one of the Ashley setups on a 336 in 30/30 with the Leu 2.5x and I shortened the stock somewhat to make it all work. It is now the best handling setup I have. Just fits perfect.

Here is the latest 1895 with same mount but this time the 1-4x Leup Variable...On this scope you use the Leupold Dual Dovetail rings in LOW height (Not Super Low asbon the 2.5)
I really like the more forward position of these setups on the levers...its cleaner and out of the way of the hammer ..not coming so far back is neat to me...as far as eye relief these have alot and I just creep my face forward a tad! A win win for me!!
