5 shots LAPUA Midas+ on 6” steel at 200 yards (by laser) off the back deck. Performance almost equal to my best .22LR rifle.

This Picasso smiley face was done while sighting in with LAPUA Polar Biathlon earlier. Last five were in the “smile.”

Heck, everyone know you can hit a bull in the butt with a Contender. 50 yards.... I cheated, mine is a carbine.
I am..........disturbed.

Yes Sir! I believe you are correct. The white overspray made it look like some type of braided strapping to me. I was just looking at it wrong. Thanks, Rick

Nice. It makes me want to get a 22LR barrel for my old Contender.

Timbo, I purchased mine from Bullberry. It is a Douglas match grade barrel with a 15” twist.

Nice shootin'! I have to ask...What is the material you are using to hang your gong? Thanks, Rick To hang that steel target, I used a couple of those cockamamie “safety locks” which come with new guns. Eventually, the plastic covering on the cables was blown away by impact splatter from the target, and by the occasional direct hit, to expose the steel beneath. They’ve survived just over a year now, and appear otherwise undamaged. It’s the best use I’ve ever found for them.

If you do pick one up..look for a "match " barrel. Big difference in accuracy...

Ended up with one of the 10" octagon barrels because I wanted the frame.
Shot it and kept it. It was good with many low budget 22 ammo choices and fantastic with an absolutely unobtanium ammo that had been given to me.
It was one of the most accurate 22s I have ever owned.

That is one nice looking TC. I just dig out my Gen 1 Contender I used to shoot metallic silhouette with last month. Found a Match grade .22LR bbl and a Burris 2.5 scope. So far, it has no preference to LR subsonic or std LR rounds. 10 rds under a dime at 50yds. No it's not the tightest group, but for starlings, woodchucks, red squirrels, etc it's a nice change using a .22 rifle. I'd forgotten how much fun that gun is. Get a .22 LR bbl of some sort, enjoy seeing what it likes to eat then go have some fun.

Had match 14 and 10 inch, in both blued and stainless. Could not tell diff w standard ammo ( that shot decent ). Irons for IHMSA.
If benched and scoped maybe could have.
IMHO a standard barrel shoots pretty darn good.
My rig is now an Ingram 14" .22 mag w 4x EER. I should swap in a rifle scope and test a few brands. Bought a 35 rem braked stainless and kept the frame.
Stainless frame, blued bbl and Pachys....has that euro trash look. Dont care for big head cat,.like the perched better....but wanted stainless.

i had one with a 10 inch 22lr. bull barrel Match chamber that was stupid accurate. I had a burris 2x7 ERR scope on that barrel. By that I mean I could shoot the tacks holding the targets up at fifty yards. I used Federal gold metal match ammo to do the deed. It was the most accurate pistol I have ever owned. I won a bet ot two with that combo. People did not think it could be that accurate. It was!

I got several contender pistol barrels that are that way. I have shot better groups at 400 yds than a lot of people that come over to our little range with their rifles. I have a .375 Win barrel that I shoot around 2" groups with at 300 yards. People just can't believe a pistol can do that.
God Bless, Louis

Why not together, smiling? Remember, with an infinite number of monkeys on an infinite number of typewriters, at least one of those monkeys will type out the complete works of Shakespeare.

Nice.
Aside from a quality barrel, the shorter pistol barrels equate to less barrel time/barrel movement than the rifles. That cannot hurt accuracy in a low velocity round like 22 rimfire, especially subsonic.

Removed the Weaver T-6 and replaced it with a Burris Veracity 2-10x42: It now offers magnification flexibility, quicker and easier parallax adjustment, and a reticle suitable for field expedient holdover to quickly engage targets further than 200 yards: 5 rounds LAPUA Midas+ at 24 MOA of elevation from 50 yard zero:

I had one for about two years. It was a 10inch bull barrel 22 lr. It was light out the accurate 22 lr pistol I have ever shot. I could hit the tacks holding up a target at 25yds. Even hit some at 50 yards. That gun loved a german brand of 22 lr ammo called Hertenberger. I had a Burris 2x7 pistol scope on the pistol. I did end up selling it for something I, at the time wanted more.

Take it further out and post more pics Far as I can go without risk of cresting the hill and raining indirect fire down into an out of sight portion of the neighboring hay farmer’s field:
